Location was excellent and the price very reasonable. Everything was in waling distance too. We stayed here for 2 days on our way to Zermatt for Christmas and have no complaints. The breakfast and coffee were very good and we had it both days. The lounge area was fun too. Very quiet at night and very clean. The staff were...

The hotel is in a great location in the old town, close to the river and a number of bars and restaurants, which was a plus. As the hotel is in Switzerland you're not really going to get value for money, but feel the term boutique hasn't been used in the right way this time. The rooms were fairly standard,...

you are absolutely right, - the mistake with the towels should not be handled like this. I do apologize and will make sure, that such a situation will not be treated anymore like this. let me explain about the mineral glaze floor in the bathrooms: they have to be, for security reasons a bit harsh, not to be slippery if...

We only stopped in for a couple of glasses of wine, but the service was great and the bar was quaint. As other reviewers have noted, the location is wonderful for people-watching, although we didn't get a ton of that as it was a rainy, Swiss weekend. Prices are what you would expect in Zurich.

Great location in the old city. Staff was friendly and courteous. Room was very small, hard to get around when fan put in room to accommodate for lack of a/c-typical in Europe. Bathroom was very small, Person at sink had to exit bathroom in order for a person to exit the shower.

the building the hotel is operated is built in 1879. certain sizes of rooms are given and cannot get changed. the whole building is strongly protected, therefore we are also not allowed to have a/c. we offer different room categories in different sizes and also with various facilities and decor.

This is the best vantage point at any time of the day or night to watch this busy square and street. They are open early if you are looking for a sunny spot to have a morning coffee. They are also open late for drinks and watching the night crowd. Get a seat closest to the street. This is a...

Our boulevard terrasse is definitely a good place to be seen and to overlook the square, all day long. Not what expected. It is true that for Swiss standards this hotel is still relatively "convenient" but the service is really very low: bathroom in the hallway, very loud, the hallway door slamming at any hour. Far from offering a good rest.

We do offer different categories of rooms - our CLASSIC rooms, all with private bathroom, some with balconies, or as well our ECONOMY rooms, with shower and sink in the room, toilet to share on same floor- for an appropriate price in the middle of the old town, only a 7 minutes away from the main train station, closed to...

My husband and I stayed at PLATZHIRSCH for 2 nights in September. We stayed in one of the Classic Superior rooms. Everything worked...

It is 1am as I write this and there's pounding techno that has been playing for hours on end. Oh, and breakfast is not free. Thought this would be nice, quality hotel to enjoy the city but was disappointment. Don't come hear if you want to get any sleep.
