Visited here for my birthday last year, soon followed by another visit Xmas eve and husbands birthday. Infact, despite the 20 mile distance, I'm constantly looking for excuses to visit. View online menu....gorgeously varied, sumptuously cooked, friendly service. Small eating areas. Have to book. Quality alcohol, hand pulled ales, good malts selection. Attentive and friendly staff. Don't bother with starter,...

Really welcoming, delicious food and great veggie choice for dinner and breakfast. Also a fab little campsite - though on a slope! Facilities are clean and ample for a small site - it also has fire pits - a big bonus

My son and myself decided to spend a few days cycling along the Tissington trail. After 10 miles of wind, rain, mud and anything else mother nature had to offer we came across the Royal Oak at Hurdlow. Muddy and dressed as we were we were made to feel very welcome. The food was first class the beer very tasty. The...

What a gem of a pub. Staff brilliant and helpful, food choice incredible and delicious and a wide range of drinks including real ales. Well done to all the staff who were working there on Friday afternoon. Cheers.

Veggie options are limited and the butternut and walnut lasagne was disappointing the sauce wasn't very good tasted really processed. Also the garlic bread isn't upto much looks like...

We visited here whilst on holiday. Went purely on Trip Advisor reviews and it certainly didn't disappoint! We drove 40mins to go and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Great food and atmosphere! They are famous locally for their pies. We had beef and Stilton, and fish pie. Both were incredible, by far the best pies we've tasted. Beer was...

Visited for morning coffee and afternoon meal as part of cycling trip. Very good service and excellent food. Real ale available although on the day was not at its best. Great chips and good size portions. Not the cheapest pub food but overall a great place to visit.

Thank David F
