This hotel is wonderfully-located. 2 mins to the Museum quarter and airport express bus stop and just over the road from the Vondelpark. Half an hour walk from Amsterdam Centraal Train Station. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. They let us store our bags in their luggage room for free which was v useful. The hotel is also...

The hotel is in a great location which helps inflate the price online, but it sooo not a value for money. For such a pricy a place you would expect some basic quality. Walls are too thin, door banging too loud. some staff are truly nice and some don't being in hotels. Rooms are not tiny, they are good size...

A small bedroom is TINY. No wardrobe, no space to even stand and get dressed in the room, never mind while sharing with another person. Bathroom is a wet room, floods every time the shower is on as the drainage didn't work. Only good thing was the location

Me and a friend went to amsterdam last week. Overall, the planning of the trip was really hard. Everything is really expensive especially the accommodation. We found hostels which costed more than 100€ per night. Moreover, when all our hopes were gone a really cool promo came up from this hotel and we instantly booked it. After 4 nights there...

The hotel was great. We had no issues. The room was clean and cleaned everyday. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. The hotel was at the heart of Amsterdam with easy access to public transport and tourist attractions such as the van gough museum and others. Its approximately 50 minutes from the airport on public transport which costs...

Lovely little hotel situated in a wonderful area of this city. Although our room was in the roof and had some interesting angles, it was lovely and quaint and offered great views over the city. Staff were delightful and more fluent in English than most English people!

I don't normally worry about the size of the room but this room was small even for a single room and it was classed as a double. Two people could not pass between the bed and wall. No wardrobe space which was not a problem for a three day stay but would be for longer. The bathroom was adequate although...

Hotel location is good and within easy access to museums, trams, etc. Staff are very nice and very helpful. Room was very small and a bit stuffy at night. Bathroom is a small wet room and the extractor fan in ours was not working. Lounge on the first floor which was good and quite spacious if you felt like eating...

I had 2 dinners and each time I was very pleased. Relax yet chic settings, friendly caring waitresses, fresh food: Nordic seafood platter including gravlax, cod with vegetables, Beijing duck, platter of limoncello desserts.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
