Delighted with this hotel. Staff were so friendly and we were welcomed with a drink (wine, heineken, soft drink) and a comprehensive guide to Amsterdam. Up the very steep stairs our room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony looking over the street. The trams are right outside the hotel which are a little noisy but for us was...

What a great find! Friendly, helpful staff who spoke amazingly good English. Clean and comfortable bedroom with loads of hot water and little extra touches - fresh flowers, a piece of fruit, little chocolate and a bottle of water. Ideally sited on the tram line but you can just as easily walk into the centre if you choose. It's in a...

Small room. I mean REALLY TINNY ROOM. But we liked the place. Close to tram spot. Delicious breakfast. Hot chocolate 24hours/ per day. Great restaurants and bars nearby. Cost benefit . we were able to easily walk to downtown.

Very good hotel. Great location, just a few minutes away from Dam Square, Rijksmuseum and other touristic places (by walking). Also from Central Station (just one tram ride, with many tram services stopping right at the hotel's door). Breakfast was very nice and complete, they also give you an apple and a little chocolate on your pillow everyday. It's true...

The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Location is excellent with trams stopping outside the hotel. I have stayed in 3 and 4 star hotels that have not been as clean as the Alp. Breakfast is basic and rooms on the front can be a little noisey with the trams but it's a good compromise to have for...

Great location, wonderful staff and details, hotel conditions were perfect. Is in front of bus stops, little restaurants (that really can save your life when you're starving). You can walk to Ana Frank's house and many other interesting places in the city. For us the room was perfect, clean, also the bathroom was always in order. We always found a...

Staff are great and so is the breakfast. tram stop outside so a little noisey but close to everything. if your on a budget this is...

Brilliant staff, could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Good check-in with maps and places to visit. Three trams right outside the door going to basically wherever you wanted to go. Only one downside for me was that our room was on the top floor and at 67 was quite a climb, so we tended to...

We had a room on the 3rd floor, stairs were quite steep. Staff were great during our stay, very helpful with maps and places to visit. Breakfast was the usual cold meats, yoghurt and cereal. There were no coffee making facilities in the room but there was a coffee machine downstairs that you could use free of charge at any...
