Free hot drinks all stay :-) Easy travel by tram to city centre. Pretty good room, tiny balcony though! Only real issue noisy cleaners in the morning attending other rooms... And uncomfortable pillows, take your own! Would use Alp hotel again!

Actually visited Feb 26th with my partner (sorry for late review). Location is superb as a base for exploring Amsterdam. Take note of previous reviews on how to get here on the bus - very simple to find. Clean, great room. Breakfast wasn't taken every morning but highly recommended as great quality. Staff are superb and cannot fault this hotel....

Pros. There are several tram stops just in front of the hotel taking you to the city center & main attractions directly, so the location is convenient for a city trip. Jordaan area, which is a ‘must see’ in Amsterdam for very nice&small designer shops, amazing canal views etc. (also for Anne Frank huis), is very close to the hotel, just...

Little cosy hotel, that is absolutely worth to visit! For a start, the personel are sweet and VERY serviceminded, make you feel so wellcome. The rooms are very high standard, with brand new bathrooms. Our room had a beautyful terrace, towards the back garden, you should ask for that. We are definately going to visit this place next time we're...

I took my partner to Amsterdam for his 60th birthday and we stayed at the Alp Hotel. It was a lovely small hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcomed us with a drink and lots of advice and guidance about sightseeing. The room was absolutely lovely. We had decided to request a room with a balcony overlooking the garden...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in April. From the moment we arrived, the man behind the desk sat down with us, offered us a free drink and chatted about what to see in the area plus told us useful information such as which trams passed by the hotel and which restaurants he recommended in the area....

We recently spent three nights at this hotel. As others have mentioned you're greeted with a welcome drink and a friendly chat about what to see and do. We had a room on the top floor at the front--it does look onto a busy street but the streetcar noise didn't bother us (they do provide ear plugs but I found...

Very affordable, central to Amsterdam, easy to get to by tram. The staff was great, the breakfast was great, very nice touches all around (flowers, chocolates, fruit). Love the stairs - gave us a good workout to burn off all the Dutch delicacies.

Just had a great 3 day stay at this friendly, well located little hotel. The welcome on arrival was really good, free drink and introductory chat about what to see and do in Amsterdam. The room was fine, not palatial but perfectly clean and comfortable. We asked for a quiet room at the back which we got, rooms at the...

A great welcome with a free drink. Hot drinks, fruit and water available free at all times. Our room had a lovely, spacious balcony overlooking courtyard. Cleanliness excellent with fruit and a chocolate on your pillow. Staff very helpful. Only downside may be the steep stairs for those who are not very mobile.
