Reviewing this as excellent because of the location, breakfast, cleanliness and host. You do pay for what you get so this is a hostel boat. We had a tiny cabin and shared toilet and shower which I can only compare to campsites. However, the boat is very clean and well maintained. It's basic but everything you need. The downside can...

I and a friend shared a twin room with bunk beds. Very basic, however what more would you need when you are out and about. Staff friendly and easy going. Though the boat was clean and the showers were pretty good, even for shared facilities. Sink in your room. Heating worked, so not fear of being too cold. If you...

The concept and area not too far from the train station and by the water seemed intriguing from pictures and description. Rather smelly on the walkway to the "boat." Accommodation was totally unacceptable. No private toilet or shower, the room had very small upper and lower berths with a tiny window above the upper berth. There was no place to...

Me and my friend stayed here for 3 nights. It was cosy, comfortable and close to the city centre. Breakfast was good too! Emile was very welcoming and a bit of a giggle i must say. He kindly walked us to China Town and showed us the sites on route. We hired bikes from across the road which was handy...

Stayed for 2 nights on this boat in a single cabin. Loved every minute of it. The cabin was a lot roomier than I expected, there was even a small wardrobe to hang your clothes. Even sharing the toilet/shower-room was a breeze. I never had to wait or line-up to use either. Breakfast was included in the price and there...

We had a fantastic stay this weekend- loved the boat and everything about it. We were made to feel very welcome and the drinks on deck in the peaceful surroundings were lovely. Breakfast was huge with lots of variety - particularly liked the pancakes and the hosts were lovely and accommodating- excellent place for being close to everything but really...

This moored canal boat, the Vita Nova,is the only place to stay if you really want to experience Dutch culture, receive excellent customer service, be located 15 minutes walking distance from Central Station and within about 30 minutes walking distance to most of Amsterdam's popular attractions. With spotlessly clean basic rooms, and equally as immaculate shared toilets and showers, you...

Me and my husband booked this boat without having any high expectations. And boom! - Nice, clean and tidy. Breakfast made by staff-perfect! Rooms are clean, hoovered and got everything you need. All you need in Amsterdam -is just to fall on the bed after long day! As it was warm outside we could enjoy drinks and views on the top of...

Where else to sleep in Amsterdam than on an house boat? It's a boat, so there are bunk beds and shared toilets and showers, there's a sink in the room. Although it was snowing when we were there, it was not cold in the room. The boat is moored in the inner marina, so no waves or rocking of the...
