We stayed in this hotel for 1 night, we booked 4 beds in 8 beds shared dorm. We came at 8 in the morning, we understand that the check in time is at 2PM, the reason we came there was only to put our luggage in the storage room. At that time, the one who in charge in the reception...

Visited Amsterdam for a couple of days in early February. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The hotel is about 15 min walk from the city centre but there are plenty of attractions closer too. Very good value for money, especially for students or young people who don't mind sharing the room with other people.

My favorite place we stayed on my last trip to Europe. Close to the Van Gogh museum and the IAmsterdam sign. Great showers and comfortable beds. Also comfortable walk to many other sights and restaurants. We walked the entire trip while in Amsterdam.

Above average for budget hotel. Room was small but clean and well decorated and had everything needed including an espresso maker. Breakfast is a bargain at 5 euro. Perfectly located opposite Van Gogh Museum and a few mins from Rijksmuseum. Also really close to great restaurants and pubs of Leidseplein area. A good shop and trams to Central or Sloterdijk...

Second time in this lovely hotel in 6 months and it was great to be back. The staff is one of the most frienliest I ever met. The location is good - take tram 2 or 5 from the central train station. The room was even better from the last time, although the desk is rather small. The best breakfast...

Hotel lacked a restaurant and bar but it is in Perfect location for the Amsterdam we wanted to see. e.g. The Van Gogh museum, the Rijks museum, Canal boat trips. Vodel Park and so much more. Amazing hostel, close to city centre by walking or tram. Staff that I dealt with were very friendly. Price was excellent, including price for breakfast. Room was quite spacious, especially for six people. Would definitely recommend to friends or family and will happily return

This hostel is in a fantastic location. It's close to a lot of museum and easy to get to from the train station. I stayed there 4 nights. The atmosphere is chill and social. It's walking distance to most places in Amsterdam. Everything was very clean!

We stayed 2 nights in a ground floor room of this hotel. Location is near the museums part but quite far from the centrum. No street noice but we could understand clearly next door guests's conversations and top guests's steps. Room had a wall fully glass looking to an unattended terrace. Air conditioner was not giving hot air. We complained...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
