Only stayed 1 night but it was much better than I expected. Room was clean andd bathroom was like a hotel, very good location, especially if you want to visit the museums. Helpful staff, could do with a social area for the hostel side as you want to meet new people.

Great hostel. Very clean and new, with access to wifi, fridge and free safes. Not in the city centre but conveniently located next to tram stop and van gogh museum. You can get there a free map and the staff is eager to help finding places to visit. Great price!

This hostel was very clean, very helpful staff, ensure rooms, air conditioning - and the breakfast looked pretty good as well. However, it felt far more like a hotel than hostel - there was no place to meet other travellers, no bar area or kitchen (there was a fridge and microwave for guests). The beds were also extremely basic metal...

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. 21 countries and countless hotels of all kind. This was by far the absolute WORST. - incident one: I called a few weeks before arriving informing the hotel manager that I will recieve train tickets there and got immediately yelled at at and told that unless they have my check-in date, they won't accept them...

We spent three nights in this hotel. It seems to be more a hostel than a hotel. There was very nice, clean and modern bathroom. By the way, we were in eight bed room. The breakfast was very good, it's highly recommended, and hostel service is very kind.

Stayed for a few nights a week an a half ago, place was not the easiest to find so make sure to read up on directions. The rooms were clean and very nice (felt like a hotel bathroom!) staff were helpful and friendly in answering our questions and provided us with some cutlery when we asked. Only downside was that...

We stayed for 3 nights. On the first day we arrived at 11am, even though check in was 2pm our room was ready. We stayed on the ground floor, in a double room with ensuite bathroom. Safe in the wardroom. Comfortable beds. Clean bathroom and towels were provided and changed everyday. Breakfast is definately worth the 5 euros. Selection of...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
