We spent a very nice stay at the Inn Old Amsterdam. A space of tranquility hidden among the bars of the Nieuwmarkt place. Our "room" was in fact a little cute appartment with a cosy living-room, a big kitchen and an adorable room-nest upstairs. Daniel, the owner, is very welcoming and easily reachable at any moment.

I had a recent 3 night stay at Inn Old Amsterdam and came away impressed across the board. The apartment was perfectly equipped for 2 people, and potentially 3 with a foldout couch. The location is very central with nearly everything walk-able or a short tram ride away. Daniel is an incredible & accommodating host ... and the breakfast served...

Spend a great weekend in a romantic set up at Inn Old Amsterdam. A small apartment just for the two of us. Open bathroom in the bedroom, nice and large kitchen, typical steep Amsterdam staircase up to the apartment and the same in the apartment. Simply lovely!

I've just checked out of the best b&b I've ever stayed in, I had to write a review immediately. I treated my boyfriend to a trip to Amsterdam for his 30th birthday. Daniel (the owner) and Ron couldn't have been more inviting. There was a bottle of prosecco waiting for us on arrival to celebrate. The room was beautiful and...

We have stayed in the suite of Inn Old Amsterdam in April 2014. Inn Old Amsterdam is located at the central square of the old part of Amsterdam (with an amazing history, just Google it!), and it is a true hideaway in the center of buzzing day and night life of this city. Although Nieuwmarkt has lots of bars and...

Best place to stay in the city. Close to everything, cozy, with original features and a great view of the Square. The bathroom is smallish, everything else, top notch! Ive stayed in the largest room only. and it was amazing.

The Inn Old Amsterdam is a fantastic place to stay--a 'hidden gem' if there ever was one. Daniel is a gracious and helpful host and I would also recommend a coffee or meal in his wonderful 'Il Sogno' restaurant located just around the corner. The room is comfortable and cute, has plenty of space and lots of little home comforts....

The Inn Old Amsterdam is the perfect place to stay in this city. It's central to just about everything and easy tram rides from everything else. Daniel was an amazing host... he went above and beyond expectations to make our stay memorable. This is not for people who prefer the Courtyard Marriot or Hilton Garden Inn; but if you want...

We loved staying here but there are a couple of caveats people should know. First, the stairs are very narrow up to the apt. Second, there are high ladders to the bedroom loft in the apt, so older people would not be able to handle it. But it is lovely, and Niewmarkt is a rather exciting place to stay. It's...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
