Stayed here for 3 nights in Jan. Staff went the extra mile to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Room clean, good location in a quiet area. Loved the prosecco on arrival along with use of the coffee machine. This hotel made our first visit to Amsterdam unforgettable and would definitely return!

Everything is good - very friendly staff, welcome drink, breakfast, 24 hours free hot drinks, complementary mini bar, comfort, cleanness. Location is just a bit far from the city center, eg. from Dam Square, but very close to the museum district.

Was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it is relatively low cost. Really warm welcome with a glass of prosecco, comfy rooms, refills of mini fridge and toiletries everyday and right beside a tram line! Couldn't ask for more!

Booked this hotel a week before we arrived, last-minute change from a lower-priced hostel. Delighted we did, the Muse is well-placed, modern, clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The little touches (free Nespresso in room, free tea and coffee downstairs, free minibar in room) elevate this hotel to a level exceeding it's very reasonable rates. The tram stop...

Cannot fault this hotel. They will move heaven and earth to ensure that you have a great stay. The room was very comfortable with a maid service every day. An added bonus was the inclusion of a free mini bar serving soft drinks and a nespresso machine with a variety of pods. Tea drinkers can make a brew in the...

This small, side street hotel had very affordable rates when we visited Amsterdam in November. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, with a dish of delicious chocolates to greet the weary traveler. The room was large by European standards, although not U.S. It could have used a folding stand for a suitcase, but there was a small wardrobe. There also...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
