I had a very nice stay at Sézane Lodges. Sézane was welcoming and extremely clear on how everything works(and her dog Pommie is the sweetest!) The place, although 200 years old, is spotless and is kept is a pristine condition. There is a classy common area with a piano, a guitar, playing cards and plenty of room. I'm a violinist and I was allowed (and encouraged!) to practice in there. The kitchen is very clean although there is a no-cooking policy (utensils and the fridge are available for guests to use).

There are two toilets and a spacious shared bathroom with a really nice shower, all of which are spotless.

The bedroom I got has a twin bed and a desk. Two very comfortable comforters were provided and the bed is right next to the radiator, so the cold wasn't a problem at all. The traffic noise can be heard through the windows, but it wasn't too disturbing and a pair of noise cancelling earbuds made it a non issue.

There is very little sound insulation, so upon arrival I was kindly asked not to make too much noise (phone calls/watching movies), but the location is so perfect that you probably won't spend too much time in your room anyway!

Overall, it was a very good experience and I would happily stay there again next time I'm in Amsterdam!

Peace and a warm welcome in centrally located home stay.
The most perfect thing about Sezane Lodges is the location, and everything else offered was wonderful as well. Sezane is a delightful host. She is warm and friendly and interested in who her guests are, where they have come from and what they have experienced. Her home is spotlessly clean and she offers use of excellent shared bathroom facilities, with 2 separate toilets. Kitchen use is limited, with no cooking allowed, though use of crockery and cutlery, kettle and fridge is available. Pommie the Pomeranian is a bonus for dog lovers and is always excited to welcome guests as well. Local restaurants are plentiful, and the Van Gogh Museum is no more than 3 minutes walk away, with a supermarket just as close. This is the ideal place to stay if you seek a safe, quiet place, perfect if, like me, you are a woman travelling alone. The internal stairs in the house are steep to carry luggage up and down, but it’s worth the climb for the lovely, homely experience is staying with Sezane.

I was only able to stay a very short time, but I would definitely return. It was a fantastic location. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe. It was easy to find, only about 1/2 block from the airport bus stop and museum square, with wide well lit streets. Communication was always very clear and prompt and the home was spotless! I was made to feel very welcome! This is a room in a home, not a hotel experience. The online descriptions were accurate and reliable. It was a wonderful way to have a different type of lodging experience.

Dina-Perla’s place is the ideal spot for a visit to Amsterdam. It’s perfectly situated in the middle of the bustling city center and next to the Central Park of Amsterdam. It’s a great spot to get some rest after you’ve been wondering through the busy streets and sit down on the couch or some of the very comfortable chairs in her living room. Dina-Perla is a hard working woman, but definitely made me feel at home and was always quick to respond to any questions. I highly recommend this place!

Located next to the Van Gogh Museum, near the house you can find bus stops, spas, cafes, bakeries, shopping streets etc. . The owner is very friendly and will be happy to recommend restaurants and places to visit. The house has hundreds years old but newly decorated and everything is very clean and functional, with a beautiful lounge with piano and balcony(and a lovely puppy will come out to greet you every day ). I would recommend this place to all my friends!

Visited Dina Perla Lodges recently for 3 days staying in Amsterdam. The location is perfect as you are close to top tourist attractions, canals, transport, nightlife without it being too busy/loud. As the pictures suggest it is a pristine and very clean hotel. No air con which can be difficult in hot seasons. Dina herself is a warm, open and friendly host, plus she has the fluffiest guard dog you'll love to meet in Sydney! Definitely worth the visit if you prefer a more home feel rather than a basic hotel room. Best price for a room also for this time of year. Amsterdam is frustratingly expensive but Dina provides a good price for excellent quality. Definitely visiting again. Can not fault the excellent work Dina has put in to make it a top place to stay!

A definite recommendation when you wish for a place in the heart of Amsterdam. In walking distance of the museum district, the canals and the centrum, the location lends itself beautifully for a comprehensive visit of the city. The host, as well as her dog, were kind and helpful and the beds and other accommodations clean and spacious. While not a hotel, I immensely enjoyed my stay and hope to come back if time permits.

Dina-Perla’s place is clean, cozy, and beautiful! Within walking distance to many great sights, shops, and restaurants, as well as a short walk from public transportation stops, the location couldn’t be better. You will get plenty of privacy in this shared space while still feeling welcomed and at home. Dina-Perla is an exceptional host and is so very kind. I highly recommend this stay!

Last week I had to be in Amsterdam and decided to rent a room in Dina-Perla's huge upper house on the posh Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam. It was a very comfortable stay and Dina-Perla is the typical very experienced but warm host who loves hosting. If you like lively little dogs your are pretty much in paradise at this address!

Dina's home is a perfect location as a starting point for the tour of the Netherlands. It's in the heart of Amsterdam  city what enables you to reach out the main and most interesting attractions in a few minutes of walk: museums, canals and parks. From Van Baerlestraat within a few minutes of walk distance you can rent a bike with your City Card and plan your day from the early morning. The same for your trip to the Keukenhof spring garden and many more destinations outside the city...the public transport is just right there close to Dina's home.
Dina and her little Pommy are so fabulous that you will love to spend your spare time on talking with a cup of tea. And Pommy will enjoy this time either!
Moreover, the accommodation is very clean and designed with an eye on beauty. You wakes up in the morning feeling at home. Fully recommended!
