I have stayed in many hotels over the years both for business and for pleasure - and I can honestly say that the entire experience from making the reservation, through to arrival, the concierge, the ambience was truly quite exceptional. I rarely do hotel reviews - but this time I felt I had just had to do one!

I visited the Pulitzer on a recommendation. I had a glass of wine on a warm September day, and it was heaven. The patio is beautiful and peaceful, and the glass of wine was affordable! Definitely recommended for a stop on a nice day.

Perfect choice for a long weekend in Amsterdam. The hotel consists of several buildings which are linked together in a charming way and the atmosphere is relaxed and trendy. Our room was facing the inner garden and it was peaceful. Interior decoration was full of fun surprises. It is luxurious but with a good edge to it. Breakfast was very...

Had an inner room (no canal view) and room was a little dark, however this was more than made up for by the friendly and helpful staff, great hotel location, and overall beautiful feel of the hotel. Front desk helped organise our museum tickets, and made some excellent recommendations for restaurants, cafes and shopping. Nothing seemed too much trouble and...

Great hotel and location. Staff are very accommodating and the hotel is very clean. Lots of little extras like wonderful toiletries and caffe and tea in the rooms and robes and slippers. The breakfast is wonderful with options for all. Hot and cold items. The breakfast is also served for a long time which is really nice.

We had a wonderful time with our toddler, the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Ben's bed was ready on arrival with gifts to amuse him. Our room was beautiful and quiet and the shower was awesome. I had a very little incident with the lift but the lady was wonderful and next thing I know there...

The room was small and seemed even smaller because it was dark (dark grey walls). There was a porthole from the toilet to the main room which could not be covered. One requires privacy in the bathroom sometimes. No bathtubs in a five star hotel? Curtains did not meet and let the light through. No evening service in the room....

Just back from our second visit to the Pulitzer. We visited last January when half of the hotel was still being refurbished and had an amazing time in a beautiful brand newly finished room on the Keizersgracht side of the hotel. This year we arrived to the fully renovated Pulitzer. We stayed in room 261 over on the Keizersgracht side...

The hotel is not a huge business place. It is rather an elegant and tourist boutique hotel. Rooms are elegantly furnished with some touch of fantasy. Lobby is small but elegant and with good soft lighting. Check in and out was smooth. Concierge was always helpful to suggest and reserve good restaurants also at weekend peace hours. Very good experience....

As always, I read lots of reviews before booking the Pulitzer Hotel; it had to be somewhere special as we were travelling as a family to celebrate my sons' 21st birthday. Well, we really weren't disappointed - this place is very special! Their fantastic customer service started as soon as I'd booked the hotel and emailed them to enquire about...
