Staff was very nice but for the price I paid I felt like I could have found better elsewhere. The rooms and bathrooms weren't the cleanest (although the beds were quite comfortable) and the breakfast was pretty standard (bread with peanut butter and jelly and coffee or tea). It was right in the middle of a neighbourhood with lots of...

Travelled through Europe for a month and this was easily the worst place I stayed in. Small cramped room with no window and dodgy bedding. Breakfast is bad coffee and bread. The place was dirty and the staff were not friendly. This is a last option hostel only.

Overpriced. We walked in to 3 guests discussing their $150 fee for smoking in the room. We then went into the room at 5 pm to find 3 people sleeping. We went out at night and went to bed. (6 beds per room). At about 5 in the morning 2 guys came into the room and turn on the lights...

It is a good budget hostel in an expensive city with polite receptions. The breakfast was good and the place is clean. I hope they have special windows that could block noise of bars after midnight. But the price is reasonable.

I was about to visit the hostel, when due to unfortunate circumstances I had to cancel my trip. I contacted the hostel through the booking site and email (I booked through Hostel World, another no go), as they had a 3 day cancellation policy. Upon receiving no reply for 3 days, I decided to call, where the receptionist refused to...

I was at this hostel in March 2016, and I can overall say that this hostel was my least favorite place to stay. For the price, I expected a better breakfast, and clean rooms. The rooms where tiny, and there was barely any electrical outlets for guests. Breakfast was okay, but overall there could have been better options. I stayed...

Every hostel in Amsterdam centre seems to be extremely pricey, this hostel was not an exclusion, but it's among the cheapest ones with quite good rating. So I expected a nice place. Unfortunately it turned out to be very very ugly. Very dirty toilet, shower, extremely small rooms with lots of beds and lack of free space. No lockers, no...

Stayed here on a weekend with the boys. At the price per night for a six bed dorm, I'd be expecting a full buffet breakfast, not some cold bread with either peanut butter or jam, with no butter or margarine to be had. I get that it's a weekend in a top location, but the price was ridiculous!

People need to remember that this is not a hotel so you can't expect too much! I thought for the price the place was decent! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us with directions and info regarding a little green plant that makes people happy 😉 They are very knowledgeable and the rooms...

The Orfeo is one of those Hostels you immediately regret booking a 4 night stay in. The rooms are dirty and small with only 1 bathroom for a room of 6 or more. It is in a convenient location with bars, restaurants, and night life close.
