Krisotel Amsterdam garners praise for its impeccable cleanliness, with travelers consistently noting the pristine condition of the rooms and facilities, albeit occasional housekeeping oversights. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel offers convenient access to public transport and local attractions, making it a hit among guests. While the rooms are mentioned as compact and could benefit from more natural light, they remain a cozy retreat with modern touches.
Guests appreciate the hotel's amenities and the welcoming service, even though some feel the atmosphere could be brightened up. Overall, the Krisotel Amsterdam provides a satisfactory balance of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience.

Detailed Reviews
We had the pleasure of staying at the Krisotel for 5 nights. The rooms are small compared to US standards, but they are very clean, updated and efficient. We stayed in room 30, which was quiet and bigger than some of the other rooms. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Feroz an outstanding host. The location is great and easy to access all parts of Amsterdam with a tram stop a few doors down. Breakfast is served each morning in their cafe. The servers that manage breakfast are very attentive and work hard. There was a variety of choices on their little buffet. Great coffee machine with lots of choices - coffee, espresso, latte, tea, etc. We arrived at 10:30 am and our luggage was stored. We were able to get into our rooms by 12:30, which was great for those traveling from overseas.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at this hotel for six nights in early October in a quadruple room. By the time we booked, the triples were not available. We wanted a comfortable hotel in a location where you could walk to cafes, restaurants and some of the tourist attractions. This hotel turned out to be perfect for our needs. It was very clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is not on a main street, and traffic was limited and was largely people on bicycles. It was also located near a major square, the principal museums and the main park, and you could walk along the canals and to numerous other places, including the Anne Frank House, within 15 minutes. In addition, the staff, as noted by many other reviewers, is absolutely excellent. To a person, they were all extremely welcoming and friendly and always ready to help and offer advice and instructions. I cannot say enough good things about them. There are many, many fancier hotels in Amsterdam, but, if I ever have the opportunity to visit Amsterdam again, I will be staying at this hotel. It is a gem.

A small well kept lodging in the theater district, Krisotel had almost everything we needed for a week's sojourn in Amsterdam. Conveniently located to all kinds of transportation, important museums, fun restaurants and pubs, and the gorgeous old city, we were pleased with the bed, tasty breakfast service, quietness (generally. A few fellow guests were less than considerate.), and helpfulness of the friendly staff. The elevator was a nice touch as scaling the narrow winding steps to the upper floors would have been difficult. Rooms are spare but contain all the essentials. We would stay there again if returning to this city for sure.

I only stayed in Krisotel for one night thankfully, from the moment we entered the vibe just wasn't enjoyable. I had already paid online but had to pay another 6 euro for what i'm not exactly sure.
Perhaps we were just unfortunate with the room we were given but the whole experience was abysmal for the price.
Our room was at the bottom of a staircase, the stairs were dirty and in need of a good hoover, the area also smelled unfresh like stairwells pre-smoking ban. The room was very small which was fine, I understand we are in Amsterdam but there was barely room to swing a cat. It also lacked amenities, There was a coffee machine but no milk or water, no fridge. When I asked for dairy-free milk, they said they didn't have any, again I find this poor for a hotel that markets itself as a boutique hotel. I had forgotten my toothbrush and when I asked for a disposable one they said they didn't have any. They were very unhelpful when I asked for an adaptor for my mom who had travelled.
I didn't get any sleep because people were running up and down the stairs and slamming doors all night, they had to be staff as there was a room for staff beside our room. It also sounded like a washing machine was going all night beside our room. In the moring it was almost impossible to get ready as we were basically stuck in a basement with was zero light.
Overall a very disappointing experience, I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was definitely one of the most disappointing. Almost 300 to be stuck in a basement and not even have breakfast or any basic amenities included. Very very poor.

Just want to say a big thankyou to the kind and thoughtful staff at this hotel. The free coffee, the advice, the ability to hold our luggage after checkout. Each detail (even small) made our trip very relaxing and fun. It's facilities were clean, the bathroom stocked with soap and shampoo and all the clean towels you could think of! The shower was hot and stayed hot, the lights worked, TV was all fine and even though our room was in the basement it had a very helpful air-conditioning/heater unit which was very invaluable. Would recommend to anyone, and definitely would stay again. ❤️🇳🇱😃

We stayed for 1 night during out city trip to Amsterdam and the location is perfect, just around the corner from Leidse plein. We walked everywhere (Museum Place, City Center etc.) but there are several tram stops nearby as well for easy transport from main train station with suitcases (masks in public transport are compulsory).
Rooms in Amsterdam are generally small but our deluxe double room had a decent size. The room was very clean, nice furniture, comfortable bed and it had A/C and a coffee maker.
Free coffee and juice is also available anytime in the lobby, a great perk!
Staff was very helpful in explaining where to go and how to get where.
I guess the only reason it is rated as a 3 star hotel instead of 4 or 5 is because it doesn't have other amenities/services such as a restaurants, a pool etc, typically found in 4 and 5 star hotels, but for us the stay was just like a 5 star! hotel in terms of decor, service and cleanliness!!
Overall a brilliant stay, will definitely choose this hotel again next time.
Very good value for money as the rate was extremely reasonable.

when we arrived we were kindly greeted at reception and given our room key in the BASEMENT which is what we booked after going down a narrow set of stairs we entered our room which was nicely decorated and clean the bathroom was also spotless with a large rainforest shower and a coffee machine which we did struggle with but was quickly resolved as the room is in the basement you don't get any noise from outside although you can hear people in the other rooms .in the lounge/dining area there is a hot drinks machine and a juice machine which you can use anytime.after check out we left our bags which was no issue and sat in the lounge whilst waiting to go back to airport in this time the gentlemen on reception was chatting to us as he seen us few the last few days recommending places to see and was very helpful. the hotel is located near Leidseplein which was full of restaurant's and bars and not to far from the Rijksmuseum. if i return to Amsterdam i would definitely stay here again.

Great staff, always willing to help and great location, easy to walk around, just a few steps to Leidseplein Square, where crowds are entertained by street performers and the surrounding bars and restaurants.
I will come back for sure and well recommended for a great staying.
Thanks so much,

The first thing you'll notice about this hotel is the amazing location quickly followed by the top tier customer service. We were greeted by the front desk manager who gave us a quick, efficient rundown on everything local alongside some tips to get the most out of your stay.
The room was spacious and clean. We stayed in the Deluxe Double and were happy to find soap, shower gel, shampoo, fresh towels, coffee machine and a hairdryer. Not to mention the TV which had a wide variety of channels to choose from.
Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance, the hotel is very close to the major museums and we didn't feel the need to get the tram during the entire stay. With plenty options for food and entertainment close by, I can say with absolute certainty that I will be returning on my next stay. Fully recommend!

The location of the hotel was great, near the theater and close to a tram pickup. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We arrived early and dropped bags till check in which was nice. The front desk staff was very helpful and guided us to get Covid test and QR code needed for being indoors in the city.
The room is small but I expected that. We took 2 twins since a double bed would be too small. We had a basement room and it was dark and quiet as the window was not on street front. The shower was good with a large overhead spray.
We walked to hotel to/from central station, maybe far for some but we found it do-able. Liked having coffee and tea available 24 hrs. The price we paid compared to other hotels made it a great value.
