Very comfortable 4 star hotel. Beautifully furnished. The lobby and restaurant look fabulous - from the superb rugs on the floor to the colourful embroidered pops of colour on the cushions and great lighting. There is a limited menu in the small restaurant, but it is high quality. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I had a quiet room on...

Excellent and friendly staff. A big special thanks to Andre, who helped me prepare for wife's birthday weeks before our arrival. Hotel is very neat and cozy. Can easily rent bikes. Location is great. You have walking access to pretty much everything Amsterdam has to offer, and yet you do not feel like you are in a "tourist area", and...

Recently traveled to Europe and JL No 76 was our 3rd hotel, and by far the best hotel we stayed in during our vacation. The location is awesome for tourists as it close to the best shopping town, the Rijikmuseum, van gogh museum, Vondel Park and the Tram. Very happy with our 2 day stay here for the European Athletics. Placed right next to the museums, and 5 mins walk from the Liedesplein. All staff, without fail, were friendly and welcoming. This is a small hotel that is very quiet and restful. Andre and the other team members at the front desk were very helpful. The place is clean and comfortable in the museum district, close to tram lines yet feels slightly urban residential. Do yourself a favor and rent a bike here.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
