This hotel was great for our first time in Amsterdam. Centrally located, near lots of restaurants and public transit, friendly and helpful staff. A huge public parking garage is located just across the street and the hotel gets a major discount, so it's a good...More
My wife and I stayed for two nights at the beginning of July in a room on the fourth floor. From the minute we walked through the front door to checking out on the last day we loved the hotel and our stay there!
- quick check in/out
- Lobby area is comfortable
- Free mint/lemon water dispenser in lobby
- Nespresso coffee machine in rooms
- rooms very small and badly laid out

We were happy with the WestCord City Centre Hotel. The location was very good for touring and getting around. It is close to Dam Square. The room we had for two was smaller and we had to be clever on how to arrange our suitcases....More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Anne Frank house is not too far from the hotel. You can walk, take a taxi, or take the tram.
We paid €68 for a taxi from the hotel to the airport; my expat sister days that around €40 would have been more reasonable.
