The staff are helpful but not obsequious or familiar. The bed was gloriously comfortable. Everything in the room (104) worked properly and was well maintained and clean. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a wonderful place to go back to after a long...More
Lovely hotel, feels like a spa, you get relaxed when you enter this hotel. Loved the breakfast.
The room is a bit small, but you got everything you need. Nice view over the canal.
Wonderful location. Walked everywhere.
Love to come back.
I admit partial responsibility for this error, but when I booked, stating my husband was a wheelchair user I would have expected someone to realise that a hotel with four steps up to the door was not suitable. As Michael can walk a few steps...More
Stayed her as a couple for our first visit to Amsterdam. Really easy to get to from Schipol airport on the express train to Central Station in Amsterdam then a 15 minute walk only to the hotel. Attentive staff at reception who let us have...More
Yep, loved this place. Warm, cosy, quiet rooms, great beds, corner bath with bubbles, free iPad, cakes and teas on tap, great location, a barman that knew his stuff and reasonably priced delicious drinks with local provenance.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

We bought our train tickets at the airport. We bought a tram pass and used it from the airport to Amsterdam and while in Amsterdam. We ended our trip with friends in Rotterdam, so we purchased tickets from Rotterdam to the airport when we got to the station in Rotterdam. It was all very simple, though we did need guidance about where to get the different teams and trains. People all spoke English and were always helpful.
