I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights over Christmas in a deluxe twin room and really enjoyed my time there. The room was a good size with a view over the street and was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a (jacuzzi) bath...More
I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Estherea for a business trip recently. It is a beautiful hotel - wonderfully restored to a charming detail.
I had an interior "courtyard" room (which I wouldn't recommend.) It was dark and felt clostrophobic.
We stayed New Years week, and quite enjoyed our time here. We booked the orange suite, which like much of the hotel, is opulent and a special retreat! The 24/7 espresso service in the lobby was fantastic.
The staff was friendly and genuinely cared about...More
This is a very charming hotel!
The location is just superb - a walking distance to most sightseeing point of Amsterdam. It is also surprisingly quiet - even though there are many shops and bars around. I loved the lobby with all of it's gorgeous...More
We stayed at Hotel Estherea for 3 nights in December. The hotel is in an excellent location and the decor is extravagant, glamorous and in keeping with the hotel’s history. It really feels unique and has tons of character. You get an iPad which is...More
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

We bought our train tickets at the airport. We bought a tram pass and used it from the airport to Amsterdam and while in Amsterdam. We ended our trip with friends in Rotterdam, so we purchased tickets from Rotterdam to the airport when we got to the station in Rotterdam. It was all very simple, though we did need guidance about where to get the different teams and trains. People all spoke English and were always helpful.
