Amazing hotel in a great location! It is close enough to the train station that you can walk (with luggage) and also easy walking distance to many other central areas around Amsterdam. Decor was very cool and the lobby area had a great vibe with Lottis bar/restaurant always busy and buzzing. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit small but laid out well and the decor was great. It was very clean! Would stay here again and looking forward to checking out their other locations. Also offered bikes to their guests which was awesome!
We stayed 3 nights at the Hoxton and would highly recommend this hotel for a trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect, our room was great and the staff at reception could not have been more helpful. The food at Lotti’s restaurant was excellent whether breakfast or dinner. If you have the opportunity to visit Amsterdam be sure to book The Hoxton!
We booked via Secret Escapes and stayed for 1 night as part of our honeymoon. Absolutely loved our stay. Rooms were brilliant, comfy bed & tasteful touches to make guests feel welcome. We drank in the bar & had some incredible cocktails after much deliberation & help from the bar staff! Reception staff kindly held our luggage after checkout for a few hours after we checked out. The hotel is in a beautiful chilled part of town & a stones throw from food, drink & shops - as well as public transport. Having stayed at London Hoxton previously, our hopes were high & Amsterdam did not disappoint.
Make sure to check out the photo booth! Amazing location right on the canal, close to restaurants, shopping, and museums. The staff was lovely and I would absolutely re-book if and when I'm back in Amsterdam.
The hotel has an excellent and very central location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel is let down by an indifferent restaurant - hot food often arriving cold - and too many web browsers hanging out,, for the day, in the lounge - like Starbucks. Would I stay there again? YES! But I would eat elsewhere, even breakfast.
Check in wasn’t as smooth as it could be but the rest of our stay was great. We were on the third floor and there was no noise from the lobby level coffee area and restaurant. Enjoyed the restaurant in the morning very much. Our room was very clean and comfortable.
If you want a cool place with history, nice rooms, excellent location, and a hopping restaurant/bar, you can’t beat the Hoxton. On top of that, staff is very accessible and helpful. We added a traveler nearly last minute and they were able to accommodate at very reasonable rate. We also had a (minor) personal emergency with one of our party and front desk helped immediately to help us address it. The bar and restaurant at the lower level are lively with good food. Location is fantastic in the heart of the 9 streets. Can’t wait to go back!
I have stayed at The Hoxton in New York several times so I felt confident about staying in Amsterdam. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and our stay was wonderful. The hotel is located in a perfect area of the city which allows to access to delicious restaurants, cool shops, and all of the wonders of Amsterdam.
Loved the vibe of this hotel. The restaurant’Lotti’s’ is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. Its in s great location by the canal and yet our room overlooking the canal was quiet. I also liked the cocktail bar. Its a shame the hotel doesn’t have any outdoor space.
The Hoxton is a wonderful hotel — great location, excellent service, vibrant bar and restaurant full of friendly locals. The rooms are charming and well-appointed. We will look for more Hoxton hotels in our travels.
