By far the best thing about this hotel is the location - it's very close to Dam square and a great base for exploring the city. However I found the hotel itself disappointing and not up to the standard I would expect for a 4...More
An older hotel bit well kept. We were upgraded to a room the size of a small apartment which is very rare in a city like Amsterdam. Location is great across the street from Dam square and the trams. The staff were very helpful and...More
The room is cool but a little bit tiny. The stuff are very friendly. The restaurant is downstairs is pretty good and provides a variety of dishes. The location of the hotel is awesome, across the street from Dam Square.
Fab 4* hotel set in a central location. Tram stop outside, bar restaurant joined to the hotel. Complementary croissant and coffee each morning. Spacious rooms on the sixth floor where we stayed. Some nice touches in a goodie bag, a poncho, sun lotion, mints, discount...More
The Hotel is in a great location. 15 min walk from Central Station, tram stop outside, and in good position for everywhere.Hotel staff helpful. The room was dark but clean. Never ate in hotel but had a few drinks in the bar which has nice...More
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

to get to the hotel by publick transport is the cheapest way and really easy one. Tram #1, #2, #5, #13, #17 will bring you direct in front of the main entrance of the hotel, where we are going to wait for you=) It takes about 10 minutes walking along the street named Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal to reach Die Port van Cleve, where we are still going to wait for you=)
