We recently stayed in this hotel for two nights. Our first impressions were excellent and the Receptionist was very welcoming. The first room we were allocated was terribly dark and I asked if any other rooms were available. The second room we were shown was marginally better but still quite dark. The room and bed were comfortable but the room...

This charming hotel is close to the old town and it's minutes walking from van Gogh's museum and most main attractions in Amsterdam. Staff is always gentle and ready to help tourists. Rooms were clean, sophisticated and elegant. We really appreciated our short stay in this hotel on Amsterdam!

We will stay when we return to Amsterdam. David is a wonderful concierge who was extra thoughtful when we were looking for suggestions that would entertain even a teenager! We will definitely return. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is extraordinarily beautiful.

Very nice Hotel located in a great area of Old Amsterdam and the canal rings. Within walking distance to Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum,. Loved the Art Deco theme of the hotel. I was sharing a room with my teen age child, and the standard room was very comfortable, although the double beds were small. Bathroom was modern and clean....

Chose to stay here for the first time (3rd trip to A'dam). Fiance upgraded us to a balcony room as a surprise for me - he proposed while on this trip!! Anyway, I had booked us a regular room with a king bed as he is a tall guy. The upgrade at $30/night - Room 410 - was so disappointing......

The outside of this hotel is lovely and it is a great location, very central. Staff are pleasant. Initial impressions are a little mixed, however. The lobby doesn't smell too good - in fect quite stale, so you get the feeling that this is a very old hotel and that things will be a bit musty when you get to...

There are no bad hotel locations in Amsterdam but this one is only one short block walk from the airport bus ride 197. The bus only costs €5 per a person and is ideal for travel into the city center from the airport. The morning buffet is tasteful and excellent fresh items. You can easily walk 10 miles a day...

After the first two nights I regretted I had booked for the next 7 because the hotel must be understaffed or non-competitive. They make everything difficult from ordering room service to getting a simple cup of coffee at breakfast. I travel a lot and stay in many kinds of hotels but this place I would only recommend for a night...

Stayed here for out Honeymoon, specifically asked for a Queensized bed, and had with single beds pushed together. Great location and nice staff, breakfast very over priced, we also woke up one morning from a housekeeper coming into our room which wasn't the bed wake up call.

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of a lot of major attractions and the tram ran past right out front. The staff on the whole were great, and very helpful, with the exception of the breakfast chef who was basically a grumpy old man and his customer service skills were severely lacking. The rooms were small but comfortable...

“Lovely hotel. Rooms are clean and well appointed. As prices in Amsterdam are on the higher side, our room was a bit pricey, but there wasn't anything more we would have asked for! ”

“Make sure that you get the room you expect. The pictures on the website didn't match what we got, but they took care of it without any "attitude" - very caring staff. Also, bring your OWN shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Hotel's is quite generic and didn't feel good.”
