I found Marriott Amsterdam to be old and tired... The hotel room reminded more of a 1980's style motel, than the flagship Marriott you'd expect in a world class city like Amsterdam. Don't be fooled by the contemporary lobby and busy restaurants at street level, as this Marriott is very tired, and needs a mega modernisation

Beware of theft here - I asked security to hold on to my tablet computer until I returned to pick it up. When I came back, security told me that a "friend of mine" had mysteriously come by to pick it up... And they had no record of who it was, just that a 'friend' had picked it up for...

I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel 3 times in 2014; twice for business and the other pleasure and business. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are very clean and relatively quiet for such a busy area. If you have access to the executive lounge the staff is great; breakfast is very...

After being in a jeep-like vehicle and tents for the past twelve days we were so lucky to get into the Marriott in Amsterdam. We were originally booked at a smaller hotel on one of the canals but our travel agent booked a SINGLE and in Europe that means a tiny twin bed. Luckily my husbands stays at Marriott's frequently...

Just returned from a great trip to Amsterdam and stayed in this hotel. I did mobile check-in and requested 8am check-in as my flight had arrived at 6am. Little did I know I would spend 4 hours at the airport waiting for my late bags to arrive. While at the airport I got a notification around 11am that my room...

First off, you can't really ask for a better location - there's a tram station just short of 2 blocks away, a large array of restaurants within 3 blocks, several museums within a half mile, and a beautiful park just a few steps away. It's even reasonably convenient for public transit to the airport (take the train to Lelylaan, and...

The Marriott is undoubtedly in a great location and perfect walking distance to the lively Leidseplein and trams connecting you to Centraal station and Museumplein. That was the main reason we choose the hotel. That is basically the only good thing going for the hotel in our opinion. What’s not good, it’s a boring hotel in terms of guest room...

Lots of options of places to stay in Amsterdam, many of them dodgy. This place is not. Nice area, upscale. Adjacent to Vondelpark (Amsterdam's Central Park) and across the street from the canal and Leidseplein, where the airport bus stops along with most of the tram lines. Grocery store around the corner. Walk a few blocks to the Riijksmuseum and...

I stayed at the Marriott Amsterdam for a conference which was held at this hotel on March 2009. This is what you want from Marriott. Clean room , comfortable bed, very good service and helpful staff. the room is well decorated and spacious. my fist room view wasn't that good over the square behind the hotel and the receptionist changed...

The hotel offers a great reception area which is very modern, has comfy seating and has free wifi. There are jugs of water in the area with different fruits, so when you first arrive and are parched you can help yourself. This was very much welcomed when we first arrived. The rooms are OK, have enough space and are clean....
