We were visiting some friends in Amsterdam. We have stayed at various hotels when we have visited Amsterdam, but decided to stay here this time. The location is ideal. It is easy to walk to all the sites or take a tram. Our hotel room was clean and very comfortable. We arrived on an early AM flight so when we...

Stayed at this hotel with my husband for my 30th Birthday. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were good sized, super clean and with decent sized beds. Great shopping & Bars locally. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a good hotel. Close to the Amsterdam central station, the canals and may other things. Staff is very attentive. I felt it was a bit overpriced for the what you were getting but I was there during high season so perhaps that was the reason. I do recommend it. Clean and easy to move around the city.

Ample sized-room with very good soundproofing. Bathroom a bit tight even for an average-size person such as myself, but pretty much standard for EU hotels. Overall feel is 4-star. Room service food was excellent, but of course pricey. Superb options at breakfast buffet, better than most 4-star EU hotels. Location is very central, closest tram station is Nieuwezijds Kolk (we...

Spacious room, extremely helpful and courteous staff. Get an upgrade which includes high speed WiFi, lounge access and pays for itself for the lounge access alone. The location ideal. Minutes from Central Station, the tram and 10 minute walk to Royal Palace. Depending on your stay buy a 24 or 48 hour tram pass from the hotel concierge.

The hotel is nice, in a good position and the staff is helpful and kind. Nevertheless we found it a bit overpriced considering the family bedroom wasn't very big and in general we found it a bit dirty (food left outside rooms for hours before been picked up and actually saw a mouse running across the bar lounge last night!)....

The room was about 10-15 mins walk from reception; a lift, then another walk, then another lift and then another couple of minutes walk to the end of the corridor. If the hotel seemed busy I could understand but it really didn't seem to be very busy at all, hardly anyone there to be honest. I wonder if my group...

My family, consisting of 3 of us, stayed for seven nights at a pretty steep price. We considered using Air BNB instead, but in the end, chose the Renaissance based on my Gold status and its location, close to everything. Most things are done pretty well, and I liked the weekend breakfast, albeit somewhat chaotic. But for the price they...

Visited Amsterdam in January and choose this property based on reviews and location. Pros : Location, located in Amsterdam central area, close to the station which is good for tourists, lots of dining options close by. Nice rooms, great breakfast. Cons : Really cant think of any.

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
