We have travelled in some really off the beat places but to find such a horror of a hotel in the museum district of Amsterdam was a total shock. We arrived at 3:30 and our room was not only NOT ready but the she dogs at the desk kept blaming housekeeping. They were to nice. They were not helpful. There...

We had a meeting room in the Park Hotel for our VIP clients! I have to say that everything was very well organised, the hotel has a very good situation to go to the convention RAI and to see the museums and the rest of Amsterdam at the same time. The hotel rents out scooters, which is very nice and convenient...

Have just returned from a 4 day city break with my husband & another couple. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport on the 197 bus which stops just around the corner. First impressions on checking in were good, friendly staff & we were offered a free room upgrade as it was my birthday, The bed was...

We read the disappointing experience of others before we went and were apprehensive that we would be disappointed. Most emphatically we were not. We had a very comfortable and quiet room on the 4th floor, we had excellent breakfasts and we found the staff unfailingly helpful and friendly. We can't comment on the restaurant food in the evening as we...

I loved this hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, no matter what my question was, they went out of their way to find an answer. The room was modern, comfortable and clean. The restaurant MOMO was delicious for breakfast (I didn't have any other meals there). The location was PERFECT! A quick walk from the Rijkmuseum, the Van...

Our stay at the Park Hotel was very good. Everything went smooth and good. One thing I could criticize is the cleaning. It could have been better. It was ok, but the room felt a bit dusty. Could have also been the carpeting. The clening staff called us (regardless the do not disturb light...) if we wanted something. Said toilet...

Its a very nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. We had the top floor room with the river view and it was really nice. Didn't have the breakfast but it has one of the top rated restaurants and bar on the ground floor. The location is ok with the iconic Iamsterdam sign at about...

Great location and despite being in a busy part of town not that noisy. Enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant with a view out onto the street. Comfortable rooms and nice beds. Reasonable value for money given its location.

My daughter and friend are staying in this hotel right now, I am close by. They arrived and were given a room on the 5th floor ( lift only goes to 4) which looks like staff quarters. Room grubby, dirty washing piled in the hallway. They complained and have been moved to an "executive" room, which they have been told...

Dear Carole Elizabet, We are sorry for the fact that the hotel did not fulfill the expectations of your daughter and her friend accompanying her. From the moment we were unaware we have done our utmost best to change their dissatisfaction into a great stay, but unfortunately none of our efforts were satisfying for either of them. We still would...

Kuddo's for this trendy hotel situated in the hart of the city; if you are loking for a nice place to stay in the city center, this is the one; walking distance from the main museums, city attractions and restaurants and bars; the rooms are convenient and very clean; one negative side, they need to review the bedding (too soft);...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
