Extremely well-located to enable you to explore Amsterdam. Dam Square and tram spots reachable within 3 min walk. Even Anne Frank House can be reached within 15 minutes walk. I literally popped in and out of the hotel a few times each day to drop off stuff and get a rest because it was so convenient! Only grouse is that the shower area is too small and confined. There's still space in the bathroom to expand this area.
Had a great stay in the bootz suite, beautiful room very spacious with everything we needed, we were disappointed not to be staying longer! Good breakfast, cereal, fruit,, meat cheese, pastries and toast. Very friendly welcome from staff. Great location, would definitely stay again and recommend
Nice room in the center of town. Excellent breakfast was included! Reasonable price. Hotel is in an older building that was once a distillery. Not at all like an American hotel. The room was comfortable. First floor was requested and provided to avoid stairs. Luggage storage was available. Short walk to Dam Square.
Many of our friends and family recommended several of the large hotels in Amsterdam. We rejected them all as too expensive or not centrally located. This is the hotel we choose. The price was in our budget, it was small and located just steps from Dam Square. We were here for 4 nights and enjoyed every night. When we checked in really early the desk clerk said there was no problem with an early check-in, but he said the room was small, as he smiled at us. When we went to the room, we found he had upgraded us to a suite. This hotel has an elevator, and free breakfast and a small bar. The service was great, and we enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you enjoy small historic hotels in friendly neighborhood.
This is an historic building with some modern touches. I was unexpectedly upgraded to the 'Bootz' suite for two nights. Very walkable location in a walkable city. Numerous cafes nearby. Good value for money.
We stayed one night prior to a river cruise and had no issues. Chose this hotel for its convenient location and continental breakfast. Nothing fancy but fine for what we needed. Were able to walk from Central Station with luggage. Corner room was quiet and clean with a large bathroom. Hallways were a bit dreary and area by elevator had a weird smell. Evening desk clerk was friendly and recommended restaurant next door for dinner which we enjoyed. Nice to be provided a quick breakfast before leaving Would stay again.
Booked in here for 2 nights. Booked it a couple of months ago and hadn't looked at the website again prior to our stay. What a lovely surprise when we got there to find the rooms had been newly refurbished and are stunning. Gorgeous decor, fabulous comfy beds with memory foam mattresses. En suite bathroom very high spec with massive shower. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast. Fantastic central location
Fantastic location for dam and the shops Rooms clean not bad size shower very small. Bedding did have a couple dirty marks Breakfast is cold meat and cheese + fresh breads. 2 ladies behind front desk very helpful The man behind front desk rude and helpful
I arrived at 11:30pm on Saturday night to find multiple stains on the sheets and a hair on the pillow. I called down to the front desk to ask for a new room and they were completely booked for the night. I asked to speak to the manager and their was no manager on duty until Monday morning. The front desk worker came up with new sheets that were stained as well and I asked to have my room cleaned. He said he was the only one working and couldn't clean the room. As he was undoing the bed, he found another piece of hair under the pillow and the second set of sheets had stains on them too. I was completely grossed out and ended up booking another hotel for my stay and wouldn't recommend staying here. At midnight, we walked another 0.5 mile to the next hotel since transportation wasn't available at the hotel due to construction. The manager never called me and I followed up on Monday morning in person. Francine is the manager and owner of this hotel and I told her my situation and what happened. She said I promise you the sheets were cleaned and that sometimes stains happen. I told her it was completely unacceptable and she said it just wasn't up to your standards. I said there was no checking of the room prior to a customer's stay and asked for her to pay for the first night of my stay at the new hotel since all of this happened around midnight after a long day of travel. She said she couldn't do anything about it and had already refunded me for my stay.…
Not a great hotel, thin walls, breakfast very very basic . Aircon barely worked . Rooms were clean. Only bonus very central very close to all tram stops to tourist attractions. Not one of the better Best Westerns.
