The room was lovely with amazing views, however it was quite dusty. Just a 20 min walk from the center which was quite nice minus the cold. Free wifi and the hotel was lovely inside. Already recommended this hotel to friends.

Stayed here for 3 nights with friends. Hotel managed to get our rooms close to each other on the same floor. Checked in early and was pleased with our room it was clean, tidy and had everything you needed. The only bad thing i would say is the bathroom has tiled floors and as we showered the water leaked out...

Noise can be a problem in any city break but the Tropen is a bit out of town with a park and a museum either side so you can be assured of a quiet nights sleep assuming the guests next door oblige. The staff are pleasant and helpful and will allow you to print off your boarding pass for your...

We stayed in Tropen Hotel over the weekend. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. It is about 20 minutes walk in the city center but there is also a tram stopping just outside the hotel that goes into the city in about 10 minutes. But the walk in to the city is recommended, it is a very nice...

Not in the centre but area is lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. We got room on top floor with fantastic views. Rooms clean and good size. Compact bathroom and separate toilet, but I like it. I would defo recommend this hotel from what I've seen so far

The Tropen Hotel is right on the park, which makes going for a walk or run while you're visiting, really easy. The Hotel has 10 floors, so if you can get a room higher up - the view over the park and city is beautiful at night too. The breakfast was excellent, and you should include it in your booking...

The Amsterdam Tropen Hotel is certainly great value for money and in a convenient location. There is a tram stop right outside which was very helpful when exploring Amsterdam. I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel is inside since the outside looks very dull. The only negative part is the bed arrangements. As I was travelling with...

Exactly what we needed at the time. A clean room and a great bed. Efficient and friendly staff. Breakfast service excellent, the buffet was ok and the view at the Oosterpark beautiful at sunrise. The bar was empty and not very cosy.

Tropen Hotel was situated a little bit outside Amsterdam central (about a 10 minute tram ride) near a beautiful park and some nice pars and restaurants. Its by no means in the center of the hustle and bustle, but given its good price, quirky 1960's art deco feel, and being located across the road from the tram stop - it...

Stayed at this hotel for three nights in the comfiest bed with the darkest black out currents! I arrived at 9:30 in the morning and was able to check right in. The staff was incredibly friendly the whole time. Before I got there they got me in touch with a hotel shuttle service that is extremely affordably and necessary after...
