It was clean and totally ok, but not very cosy. Rather for staying just for the night if you need to catch a train early, not really for enjoying a weekend in Amsterdam. It's extremely close to the trainstation, some rooms are more quiet than others.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This is a well located place to stay for a short stay. The room was tiny but warm and clean. The bathroom was ergonomic minimalism at its best but served its purpose. The hotel is bustling and impersonal though the staff are efficient and friendly enough. The best thing about the hotel is its position directly over Central station. Clever...

Stayed for a conference. Location is brilliant. Right next door to AMS Central Station and the tram interchange - so handy for everything. As a solo traveller, I didn't have any issues with walking around the area, although you can smell pot but it is AMS after all. The hotel has a lift for each section of the building. Hallways...

Checkin to the hotel was easy, and Sara was a pleasure to deal with a reception. Free wifi in the hotel, both at reception and in your room. We stayed up on the 7th floor, over the train station, but were not kept awake by any trains. The room was well lit and the bathroom was clean. I would recommend...

Absolutely great location, would definitely stay there again. Disappointed in reviews thought i wouldn't hear the train station but could hear certain trains stayed in room 774. But apart from a small amount noise i couldn't not fault this hotel, very friendly staff, particularly in the bar.

We enjoyed our stay but was very much put off by the smell of weed constantly. It was in the foyer, it blew up the building into our windows. Not nice at all. I did mention it to the staff and they said "thats Amsterdam" no, it isn't. We were by the train station, not next door to a weed...

This location is next to the train station, so very central to Amsterdam. However, the hotel is average at best. The rooms are clean, but very tiny. The breakfast, which is not included, is a type of self-serve very plain buffet - and was very busy when at the hotel. Kind of reminds you what you;d get at budget hotels....

Although the staff at reception were friendly, our stay has been over-shadowed with items being thrown out with the rubbish and a payment dispute. On the second day of our stay, some cosmetics (clearly brand new) bought that morning were thrown out by housekeeping. Reception were not very helpful and their reply was "maybe you should wear less makeup". I...

This hotel is ideal if you want somewhere central in Amsterdam that is also conveniently close to Amsterdam Rail Station. Great view towards the canal, and also great River views. Rooms are very small but you get what you pay for. Workable if its only for a very short visit. Only 4 hangers for clothing so most my stuff ended...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
