This is a well located place to stay for a short stay. The room was tiny but warm and clean. The bathroom was ergonomic minimalism at its best but served its purpose. The hotel is bustling and impersonal though the staff are efficient and friendly enough. The best thing about the hotel is its position directly over Central station. Clever...

Excellent location, a minute or so from the central train station. Rooms are not large, but they're clean, with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are small too, but perfectly fine for a business trip. Might be a bit too small for a romantic stop-over. Wi-Fi is free, but quite slow. You have to pay for faster speed. No gym or pool, unfortunately....

The rooms are quite basic and clean, but it's the best you will get for this price at the location. The location is great, and you can walk just about anywhere. You are right in the heart of the city at the city center. There's a 24 hour tuck shop right on the ground floor, so you can pick up...

Just back home after a 4 night stay in this hotel with my 24 year old daughter. The hotel was just what we wanted. The room was plenty big enough, clean and well-appointed. Breakfast set us up well for the day, and we also tried the bar which had excellent service. The front desk were helpful and provided a kettle...

Was here in August it was probably the cheapest hotel we could get in the centre of Amsterdam. It is right over the train station so good location but can be quiet noisy (didn't bother us). No breakfast here but tonnes of cafes around that do lovely breakfasts. Location was perfect cycled or walked everywhere no taxi needed. Room was...

The location of this hotel is ideal - right next to the train station, and within a 5 minute walk of central Amsterdam. The bedrooms are small and the bathrooms are shower rooms, not baths. The sound from the train station could be heard from the bedroom however, it did not continue into the night so it didn't really have...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
