Ibis central is ideally located, near to the Station- that's where the good pints end. The rooms are small & I mean small. a twin room has the beds pushed against each other with barely enough room to edge around. The bathroom is tiny i could only just close the door when seated on the loo. At night the gremlins...

Dear Jondiver, Thank you for choosing and reviewing Ibis Amsterdam Centre. I'm happy to hear you appreciated our central location. The size of the rooms and bathrooms is something we can't change. There's so much to explore right at our doorstep that it would almost be a waste of time to stay in the room! Except for the comfort of...

Ideal city centre location, next to Central Station. Within 2 mins of the trams that take you all over the city in a short space of time, get a few days pass so you can hop and off easily. Within walking distance of the red light district and loads of bars and restaurants. Rooms - small but clean and beds...

Dear V25, I'm happy to hear you appreciated our central location and the assistance of our staff. The size of the room can be considered as 'cute', which is often the case in Amsterdam. The best thing about Ibis Amsterdam Centre is its location, walking distance from the most important sights of the city. Besides, the room is very clean and quiet and I slept very well. However, I found the hotel a bit bureacractic, the staff is not friendly or warm. They solve things and receive you in a very business-like way. The...

Dear Isabela B, Thank you for choosing and reviewing Ibis Amsterdam Centre. I'm happy to hear you appreciated our central location. Concerning our staff, we are used to receiving positive comments regarding our staff, so your review quite surprised me. This is of course not the level of service we strive for and/or normally offer. I will inform the Front...

Our stay was pleasant here. Rooms were fairly basic but clean- could maybe be a bit bigger but more than adequate for what we needed. We paid 89 for one night but that didn't include breakfast so not the best value for money. Location is great- close to all the tourist attractions and Dam square. Staff were nice and friendly....

Hotel is decent for £65 a night with breakfast. If it's your first time in Amsterdam maybe a hotel closer to dam square is better for a central location for tourist stuff. However they are probably £100 a night..... The hotel is in the north so if you want to go to the south of the city it's a big...

Overall I'm happy with my stay at Ibis. It's located in a very convenient spot if you are going to travel within Amsterdam(Tram) or outside Amsterdam(Train). My room 767 didn't have a nice view, and also the Wifi was s**t ! The breakfast buffet is AMAZING, no limitations and it's served until 12 lunch time, which was the strongest point...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
