This hotel is in a Great location and is a good base with walking distance to main attractions. Close to tram and metro to travel about and connections to the airport via central station. Good value for money. Good hotel buffet breakfast. Nice canal view and across the city from the 6th floor. Nice hot shower. Clean room and comfortable...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November and found it to be more than satisfactory for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean, the bed was sooo comfortable! Also, the buffet breakfast had a fantastic selection, I would definitely recommend trying it. My only complaint was the lack of a...

Very good localization. Close to the main attraction of Amsterdam. Only one small disadvantage of this hotel is too small bathroom but you can used to this during your short staying. I can highly recommend this hotel to others.

We recently stayed for two nights at the IBIS City Stopera in Amsterdam. The hotel was fairly central, just a 10 min walk away from the center and 15 mins to the Central Train Station, but there were lots of trams only minutes away as well. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel is clean and tidy in...

We were pleasently surprised arriving at the Ibis hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a nice area a couple of minutes from central station. There was a buffet breakfast. Highly recommend it if staying in the hotel. We ate in the bar...

Stayed here for the second time in a two week period based on the positive experience we had on our first stay. The front desk was very helpful and, as always, Ibis rooms are always consistent - smallish but clean and comfortable. There are restaurants and breakfast places within walking distance and it's easy to get around the city either...

Stayed in Ibis, Stopera Hotel in Amsterdam for two nights. Too cramped and a basic hotel. I was expecting something better than this. But at least the breakfast was good. Located at a convenient place, so helped in walking around to attractions nearby. Protected from the zero degree weather outside.

This hotel was ideal for what we wanted. Quiet enough for what we wanted, supermarkets and cafes within a few minutes walk and about 10-15 mins walk to the RLD area. Beds comfortable, nice duvets, polite staff, but expensive breakfast it €16. Would use again if I returned to Amsterdam

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
