Stayed in this hotel for two nights. Room was fine, clean, maybe a little bit small. Served breakfast was good. Would stay here again because of its location and value. It's a 10 minute walk from the Leidseplein,

I has a good location if you like museums, but it´s a little far from centrum, although in the corner there is a tram stop. If you are expecting for a clean hotel this is not a good option! And there is no relation between price and quality. Service is good

Stayed here during the Amsterdam marathon in October 2012. Booking situation was obviously quite poor at that time, so paid quite a lot for the accommodation. Good location with easy access from airport and within walking distance from the center. Stayed in three person room, beds were not comfortable at all. Also noticed some ladybugs "nesting" on top corners of...

This place is okay. The only problems I had were: the bathroom smelled like sewage. The whole room did actually, until I realized if I closed the bathroom door I could breathe normally. That, or I just got used to the sewage smell. Also, the elevator only went up to the 4th floor, so I had to take a flight...

Had a really great stay here with my husband for our anniversary. Hotel is in an excellent location, beside a tramline that takes you directly into town and to/from the airport. Staff were extremely friendly and knew all the sights, prices and directions. Breakfast was a little hit and miss however, there wasn't a huge amount on offer and it...

I booked this hotel because I needed to be in this area, but I regularly stay in a different one in Amsterdam. That week prices were super inflated and this was the best rate I found around here (not cheap, but not a total steal). I wasn’t having any great expectations reading the reviews here. The hotel was more or...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
