The best thing about this hotel were the staff who were extremely polite and friendly. Unfortunately this is as far as the compliments go. Our bedroom wasnt big enough to swing a cat in, very small and not to mention dated and grubby looking. Resembled more of a room in a hostel, how this hotel is 3 star rated I'll... More

Its a really decent hotel which is not far from central and all touristy stuff by bus/trams. But walking is a bit too much. Good size rooms, really friend staff specially the receptionist, decent breakfast. Nothing to complain actually so had a very good stay. Thanks

TV works only if your light is on. The location is out of the way but in a quiet neighbourhood in a museum district. Well connected to the rest of the city by tram. Had fun staying here the patio is great.

Booked this hotel because u had good feedback from my sister about this hotel so thought I'd try it out but my experience was nothing like hers. Was given the smallest room in the hotel wich isn't so bad but the window wouldn't open so got a young lad to come up an check it to be told it was... More

First of all the room you had wasn’t room 11 and it isn’t the smallest room in the hotel. The window is not broken it still functions the way it always has. In the room you had, there are 9 electrical plugs; all of them work correctly. During the 4 nights you stayed with us, we were only able to... More

We stayed in room no.11 for 3 nights. This was at the rear of the hotel overlooking the garden. Very sunny in the mornings, but no air con therefore quite hot. You could open the windows but the garden was where people went to smoke, and smoke drifts into the room. If this bothers you I would request a higher... More

We stay four days and all was good. Good service and clean room. The building is old and need a new face. The breakfast is complet. On a reception we got all the answers we need. It's very centric, near all famous museums and about 30' from the center on foot.

Thank Xavier M

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
