A fellow homosexual friend and I came to Amsterdam and selected this hotel specifically because of its proximity to nearby gay bars. This location was very useful for a night of bar hopping. Around the corner is one of the more accessible "coffee shops" which was also helpful for this trip. The hotel made an error in my booking, but... More

Found this place on a Expedia and only stayed here one night but it was clean and new. The rooms are big enough and it was quiet. The best part is that is was centrally located to museums, the market and the square. The was very friendly and helpful. It didn't seem that it was inconvenient to get anywhere in... More

Great experience here. They had a welcome drink for us when we arrived and escorted us to our room. The room and bathrooms were spacious and clean. It was in a great location and walkable to all the major tourist areas. Staff was very friendly and is able to help get transportation to train/airport very easily. Would definitely stay here... The friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness were superb. The location was excellent, very easy walking to all parts of Amsterdam. If your a foodie the restaurant Senses is wonderful, a surprise and a treat each and every course. Hard to find better value in Amsterdam at the weekend.

Hi Lance, Thank you so much for staying at the Albus again. We appreciate the fact you keep booking at our hotel. If you really like the pillows, we do sell them. Ask our front office team next time you stay at the Albus. Great to read you enjoyed the beer dispenser from Heineken. It's just an extra perk for... More

Stayed two nights here exploring Amsterdam. Hotel is in a great location just off the canal belt with lots to see within a short walk. Rooms are well appointed and clean with modern touches. Hotel staff were helpful at check in and with arranging tours around the city.

Having been to many hotels in cities, I expected a much lower level hotel for the price they were charging however the Albus is TOP NOTCH. Staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. We had a subterranean room which was humongous! Decided to stay another night and got an even bigger subterranean room. And "subterranean" is a disservice to the room.... More

The location sells this friendly hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful. After entering the room, I received a courtesy call from reception to check everything was OK. The Wi-Fi was good and stable. I did not eat at the hotel, although it does have a restaurant. Instead I ventured out to select from the numerous restaurants that are a... More
