I really like Quentin England, I’ve stayed 3 times, and would do so again. I’m a regular visitor to Amsterdam, and this is far and away my favourite base in the city. A few points: 1) Location – superb. Situated between the lively Leiseplein and the tranquil Museumplein, QE is well-located for easy access to all of Amsterdam’s major attractions,... More

Great location for us just across the road from the park and a sort walk to the museums. The room was clean, average size with a little balcony and the bathroom was basic but perfect for us, only problem was that water spilled out from the shower onto the bathroom floor so we had to sue a towel to soak... The hotel books people in small underground rooms with no daylight. The customers should be informed about that when they book!! I saw the room and decided immediately not to take it. However they charge me the first night, although it was their fault not to inform me about the details of this "room". Hands-off this hotel!!

First off, the positive: the desk staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It's not their fault that the place is a dive. One comes to expect that older hotels in Europe miight not have an elevator - an inconvenience, but not a big deal. The stairs in this converted old Dutch house are extremely steep and the width of the... More

The hotel was clean, sinple, tidy and ideally positioned for exploring the city. Yes the stairs are steep but many of the buildings in the city are tall and narrow so nothing we didn't expect. The Quentin is very close to the tram stops, shops and restaurants and very good value compared with others in the area. If we do... More

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! On checking into the hotel and shown to what can only be describled as a run down prison cell we found blood smudges over the walls next to the bed. The "uprgraded room" had a bathroom the size of a £2 coin, with unlimited cracks in the sink. Also the complementray damp stains... More

We stayed two nights here, luckily we did not take suitcases as the stairs in this establishment were something else! We were on the top floor and the room was nice enough; a quality equal to the price. The staff weren't particularly friendly but we had no problems. Breakfast buffet was ample. The location is a huge selling point for... More

Absolutely terrible... We paid 75 Euro for a tiny room in the basement with no windows and no ventilation at all - Not good at all on a hot night. It felt like we were in a dungeon, I wouldn't even let my dog sleep there. We were given a small fan which was so loud we couldn't sleep at... More

When my fiancé and I booked our stay at this hotel, we definitely did so because of the price. We tend to want to save money with accomodations and pay for experiences when traveling. I will say that we got what we paid for. This hotel is just a step up from a hostel. Do not expect extra pillows or... More

We reserve our room at the last minute but we had a good surprise. The location is great, close to the museum district close to Vondelpark, not far at all from the center and the neighborhood is very calm. The room was not big but not too small either and it was clean. The service was welcoming. Overall it was... More
