It is what it is a liner turned in to a very basic hotel great for youngsters and students clean nothing luxury about it but cheap good ferry service but the most rudest reception staff ever these two need to learn about customer service maybe deal with the 8 people waiting to check in rather than cleaning her computer screen...

Went to Amsterdam to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, second time I've stayed here and it's great. This is probably one of the best locations to! Nice and quiet, novelty of being on a boat and clean. Good breakfast, helpful staff the only thing I didn't like was the shower head kept falling off the thing. I'll stay here again next...

The Botel was perfect for our weekend away, it did the job and we knew what to expect. The rooms are very basic, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but we expected that with staying on a boat. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served on a neighbouring boat which was nice and quirky, however,...

I had a wonderful stay in Amsterdam. It was more than I 've expected. This year I tried something new. Not an usual hotel, but a floating one , AMSTEL BOTEL. . Great experience. Conveniently located. Basic room with comfortable bed, free wi-fi , hot water . The bathroom is very small, but that's OK , after all, it's a...

The botel is a very basic but nice accommodation on the water at NDSM pier which is just across from central station and accessible by a regular and free ferry service which only takes 10 minutes to cross. It's quite the experience just arriving to this place via boat. The rooms are basic and a bit dated but it's good...

Each time when I went to Amsterdam I always stayed right in the city centre, but when I came across this place I decided to go for something different! This hotel might not be very plush or fancy, but: 1) its an actual boat 2) it is very quiet 3) there are a few bars just at the end of...

Having read the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to book the Amstel Botel for 4 nights during our stay in Amsterdam and have just returned from our trip. The Botel has 175 basic, budget rooms and 5 new luxury 'red letter rooms' on the top of the boat. The positives. Although the basic rooms are tiny, they have fast...

Community from TripAdvisor, please be aware of staying in this hotel. I came for Kingsday night to this hotel and after the check out staff from the reception told me to leave my luggage in the back office (who only they had the keys). When I came back after some hours to pick up my suitcase (with my laptop inside),...

Stayed here for 2 nights in March, it was a means to an end (couldn't afford a hotel in the city but didn't want to be miles away!) . The transport network is brilliant, the ferry takes about 15-20 mins and are really regular, if you miss one you have no more than 25 min wait and it goes straight...
