Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

Professional, friendly, helpful staff. Very clean room, excellent breakfast and super location for us in the quieter museum section of the city, but easy transport and walking to other areas. Good shops and boutiques nearby as well as the parks.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful telling us how to get to places. The breakfast was an added bonus. Good value and would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Amsterdam.

Yes, the area is totally safe. You're a block away from all museums and you're on the same block as one of the major diamond stores in Amsterdam. I loved the location of the hotel. You have a tram and the bus a block away from the hotel's entrance. You have many restaurants and cafes in the area as well. Plus, you can take the Blue Boat canal tour. I recommend it in the evening. It was beautiful. My profile picture was taken on this tour.

Hi. Do the bathrooms have toiletries such as shower gel? Thanks
Yes they do, a shower gel that doubles as shampoo. I think there was no toothpaste, better carry your own toiletries

Do you have rooms with either 2 twin beds or two fulls?
I'm seeing what's called a "large twin" room on their website. It looks like two twin beds pushed side by side. If that's not acceptable, email the hotel. They are very helpful and will let you know for sure what is available. Fita is a great choice if it has the type of room you are looking for.
