When i arrived the receptionist was very friendly. She gave me the key and send me to my room. My stay was only for 1 night and was good clean room. Good bed and nice sanitary. I left in the night again there was nobody but i left my key at the reception desk.

Very nice hotel in a good location, but the bedroom was alittle tight. We likes the calm and the cleanliness of this hotel. I don't know what to tell you else! blablabla blablablablabaljgkhfkhydxh, fjgjjydjrsjhfkhoihylifjhgsghfswjggdjhgm

Great location on a quiet street near all the main site in Amsterdam. This was second stay at the hotel because it had such a great location and was easy to get to from the airport on the bus (route 197 about 40 minutes to Leidsplien square-cost 4 Euros). This is a great hotel if you are traveling with a...

The room is really small, but very clean with a mini bar fridge and a safe, maybe a bit expensive but we're in Amsterdam! The hotel has four floors and a convenient elevator. The breakfast offers a choice of ham, cheese, jam, chocolate, slices of bread and toast in a cozy location adjacent to a small courtyard garden. The location...

I stayed here with my girlfriend for two nights. We booked the small double room with a small queen bed and the room was actually really small, but after all quite confortable. Spaces within the room is pretty well organized. And also the bed is not so small. It is a standard queen bed in my opinion. The hotel is...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

“Guests in a hurry might prefer a room in the first floor - the lift must be one of the slowest in Europe !”

“European hotels in older buildings usually have steep stairs. I have found an elevator to be essential. 2 rules for traveling: 1. have a sense of humor 2. expect the unexpected. When #2 happens, and it will, refer to #1.”

“we stayed in room 36, it was a medium double room on the top floor. lots of natural light.”
souhad, 11 Jan 2014 | Read review
“Ask for a good flowing shower. Stairs are tiny. Lift is slow but bearable. If you have a lot of luggage (more than two hand luggages) avoid room 35.”
