The location is nice. It is a walking distance to Amsterdam Central Station. The rooms are big, but you may find them a bit noisy. The toilets are clean. The staff is friendly, we did a walk through booking and were really happy to get a room at the last moment.

I went to Amsterdam for 3 days with 3 of my friends, and as we didn't have the chance to book earlier, Bob was so lucky to give us a bed with no shower or toilet for 55 Euros :) 55 Euros for a bed, comfortable thou, but in a very dirty place, and with terrible stairs if you have...

Bobs hostel is great value and a brilliant atmosphere for meeting new friends. the staff behind the desk were very helpful and the hostel had a great vibe. if your wanting cheap and cheerful accommodation in Amsterdam: go to bobs. only downside is that the beds weren't very comfy, which was not fine when sober...

Where do I start? The welcoming (because it is called like that) but it is more a guy taking your money and throwing you things at your face without a smile or anything polite word. Then the room, lets not even talk about the dirty bahtroom or the grafiti style of the room, I have to admit the bed was...

The hostel was relatively expensive as far as hostels go, but for Amsterdam this was the cheapest hostel we could find at the time. The location is very good, but there is only a very small common area. I gave it a plus because there was a piano, however the common area was also the waiting area for people checking...

I stayed there just one night but it was terrible . Location is well because it's on prostitutit's street . You can see them from your room's window. So it's disgusted . And staff was so rude . He didn't help me to show dormitory . Because dormitory and reception are not in same build. I won't stay there again...

Stayed here with 3 of my mates when we were over for the Diynamic Festival in Amsterdamse Bos, ended up in 8 man dorm with 4 sound Germans. Location is great, price is even better. A lot of the other reviews on this place are misleading, as far as hostels go you would have to be really picky to fault...

Great location. It's a cozy place with nice staffs and cool lounge to interact with other guests. Simple breakfast. I fully recommend to use Backpacks only! Tight ladder to upstairs! My stay was great.

Beds were normal, had lockers, near to centre (probably only positive point), not peaceful, appeared shabby. Bar downstairs adds to the shabbiness. But compared to others, it's cheap, near to the centre, walking distance away from most of the major attractions. A lot of shops and restaurants near by. Wifi worked fine, bathroom inside the room with hot water shower...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
