Stayed for one night. On the plus side, the hotel is nicely situated, relatively near the centre. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were helpful. The handing in of keys that other reviewers have mentioned was no problem- it is a bit old fashioned but no issue. There is a room safe. The room was small and looked...

Nice little hotel, rooms were small but comfy and had everything we needed. Breakfast included was really nice and staff were very helpful. All on top of a reasonable price too. Would definitely return to this hotel as it's also a decent location

It's a small building with small rooms. But there's a lift, very important when you're tired. The room was incredible small and incredible cozy! The bathroom is, let's say, inside the room: at least, the sink is in the room. But the breakfast is honest and you can always buy some nice gouda cheese. No fridge but the weather is...

Room decor very dated and in need of a deep clean. New curtains didn't cover windows. Clean sheets and comfortable bed but the towels, though clean, were very old and small. The bathroom looked very flash at first glance but bath not cleaned - 'bits' in the bottom and someone else's suds. yuk. Useless hairdryer. Good shower though. What should...

If you're strictly looking for a cheap place to get some sleep for a night, this will do. It's pretty clean, but the rooms are very tiny, even by European standards. Also, be prepared to get shuffled out of your room as it gets close to check out time. I got a phone call from the front desk as a...

Very close to train station and red light area. You can take all city tours also near the hotel. Lots of good clubs around to have fun. Walkable to all good attractions like Dam Square, Rembrandt square etc. Little far from Van Gogh museum. There is a direct train from airport to train station which is close to hotel. The...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the location is very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The first room we stayed in was very small then we swapped to another room that was much bigger and had loads more space so that was great. overall very satisfied if you want fancy you really have to pay for...

I stayed here for one night while visiting Amsterdam to see friends. I booked this hotel online last minute. The room itself was small but nice and clean with a comfy bed. It wasn't the best room as it was at the front of the building and was very noisy! The staff however were very helpful and gave me directions,...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
