This hotel is in a really good location, it's close to Anne frank and it's also in a nice area with nice restaurants and lovely cafes. It's very clean and modern. The rooms are a bit small but they are excellent to use for literally just sleeping in. The rooms are comfy and clean, the bath room was good and...

This was our room with lots of light just on the corner with 180° view of the neighbourhood. it's a triangle-shaped room. We particularly liked to watch inside the apartments on the other side of the canal and imagine their lives. What we've noticed in Amsterdam is that people don't mind not using curtains. You often see inside people's houses....

Room very small by Cdn & U.S, standards. We stayed for 2 nights & managed to live out of our suitcases. Hotel personnel were very obliging & more than pleasant. Breakfast was great. Worth the price. Hotel is 10 min walk to shops, but if you're from North America, looking at canals is a great way to spend some time....

I booked the Linden hotel for a two-night stay with my 13-year-old daughter and was not disappointed. It is in a lovely location in the Jordaan district with some of the best restaurants in town within a short walk. The nearest well known landmark is the Anne Frank house. It is a narrow tall building with rooms arranged over five...

Linden is great! Front desk is chirpy and helpful and perfect location. Rooms could be better tho. We stayed 4 nights, on top floor, and for 2 pax, it was definitely pushing it. Convenient choice. The weekend market is just outside of the front door, cute cafe across the road, few restaurants around, and 20 walking distance from AMS Centraal.

Nice modern hotel conveniently located to train station and down town. Clerk was very helpful and friendly but surprised it did not have any A/C, luckily for us it wasn't to hot when we visited it. Several steps and the elevator didn't always go to the floor you were on as the way it had been remodeled.

This is a typical Amsterdam hotel in the beautiful Jordaan area in Amsterdam. The rooms are tiny but those are typical for hotels that are housed in historic buildings here. The room was clean and housekeeping did a great job. The staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel is about ~25 minute walk from Dam Square, ~15 minutes from Anne...

We stayed for one night. It was a lovely hotel, a quirky shape, so stairs up to bedroom were interesting. Although small the room was comfortable. We happened to visit during a heat wave - there is no aircon, and the small fan provided in the room wasn't really up to the job! The staff were all really friendly and...

The place is extremely easy to find - just few minutes by walk from Nieuwe Willemsstraat station, which can be reached by bus or tram from the Amsterdam Central station, Without a transfer. It is also possible to walk there from Amsterdam Central station, it takes roughly 20 minutes by nice walk - I can recommend this option, if you...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
