The hotel is located in an old charming house in Amsterdam city center. Even though our room was on the smaller side, I found that the way it was organized allowed for a comfortable stay for two persons with two suitcases. The personnel was friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early, which was much appreciated. I would...

The room itself was not very big but after reading up on the hotel we expected this. This didn't matter as you are very rarely in your hotel room. The staff were excellent and couldn't help you enough! They were very friendly and give great advice about the city. It is also a very clean hotel! I would definitely recommend...

Nice, small hotel besides a canal in Jordaan district. Rooms are great, even though not very big. Lots of good restaurant nearby. Small challenge is to get a decent breakfast early morning, as most of the places open around 9.00, and the hotel only serves continental on order. Service is friendly and helpul. The hotel is located 1-1.5km from the...

Off the beaten track { short walk to the city centre } Excellent, clean and modern, small rooms and don't be afraid of climbing steep stairs. Cracking value for money and quiet too plus a couple of excellent restaurants nearby.

Within working distance of the centre but still far enough out to get a feel for local life, bars, markets and cafes. Clean, cosy room. Very helpful staff on the front desk. Would definitely recommend and stay again. In fact we are going to book again for next year!

Although we only stayed one night, we were so impressed with our stay. We were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff who were so helpful. The area was lovely and peaceful. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated- it also overlooked the canal. There was a lovely breakfast restaurant- unsure if they catered for dinner etc. If I had to...

This was a lovely hotel. Room was rather spacious and extremely comfortable. The beds were super, had a brilliant nights sleep in this hotel. Had dealt with hotel before arrival and they were pleasant and swift in responding. We had dropped our luggage off for storage before we could get into the room and that was not a problem. The...

We are regular visitors to Amsterdam and particularly love the Jordaan area so to find a smart, modern and well run hotel in this area was especially good. The staff were really helpful and it is easy to get to, there are a number of bus & tram routes five minutes walk away, with 2 routes from Central Station which...

the staff at the reception were very helpful. They helped organize our transport from the hotel. They adequately managed the group we traveled in. The rooms were small but the decor and management of it was made well worth it. Located in a quiet neighborhood but a distance away from the public transport system.

We stayed here for 3 nights, located in the beautiful Jordaan area. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the largest room, which was meant for 4 people. The room was very smart and clean, more than big enough for the two of us. The staff were very helpful, particularly an Asian gentleman whose name I've forgotten. He advised on all...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
