Nice hotel, clean rooms and good breakfast (you will def. find something for your taste). Great location, it's very nice and quite, away from the touristy hustle and bustle, but still walking distance from the main attractions and city center. Also the metro/tram station is around the corner. Good value for the money

This was my first visit to Amsterdam, what a beautiful place! The service we received from checking into the Bridge Hotel to checking out of the hotel was outstanding. The staff couldn't have done any more to make us feel as welcome as they did. All of the staff, including the cleaners were very friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel...

Stayed there on a business trip. The room was nice and clean, the WiFi is free, and breakfast is decent. City centre is around 20min by foot and there are good transport links near by. All for a very reasonable price.

Positives- We arrived at 12 and they informed us we could check in early, and gave us a cup of tea. Room really spacious and clean, good powerful shower and comfortable beds Good breakfast-not loads and loads of choice but enough Brilliant location-beautiful canal and within half an hour of everywhere on foot-not once did we use public transport Knowledgable...

Lovely hotel in great location. Not far from tram stops and restaurants nearby. Boutique style and modern rooms. Huge bathroom and balcony overlooking the canal and river Amstel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast continental style was nice as well. This hotel has lots of steep stairs so not suitable for anybody with a disability or dodgy knees! Enjoyed our...

We were fooled by the many good reviews because it should be clearly indicated that this GELID hotel has NO LIFT OR RAMP anywhere and the service is AWFUL -- even on Christmas! The lack of lifts or ramps could be compensated by bellboys but all employees are young skinny girls who supplement their puniness with extreme RUDENESS, including unbelievable...

Arrived before check in and room wasn't ready so we were offered another room or a cuppa while we waited. Had a spacious double aspect room with a view of the canal. A good size bathroom with hairdryer and complimentary shower gel and shampoo (no conditioner or soap). A tiny balcony but enough room for a little table and two...

the location of the hotel is excellent, in quite and not crowded part of Amsterdam, with walking distance to all main attractions. service and facilities are on high level, breakfast was very good; and our room - studio on the top floor - one of the best for family I've seen, only one notice: there is no elevator, but this...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
