Bridge Hotel's reception people were very helpful, before booking, upon arrival and while I stayed there. The breakfast was excellent. Room small but as advertised.

When we arrived at The Bridge Hotel we were quite annoyed to discover that a very large and loud concert was being held no more than 50 metres up the road. I would have appreciated being informed of this before hand. We were not offered any kind of compensation for this inconvenience. By the time we got back to the...

We got one of the rooms facing the inner courtyard so there was no noise from the outside but one of the nights we were there we had some neighbours and could hear everything they were saying, footsteps, etc., which was unnerving. Therefore, don't book if you're bothered by that. We didn't mind the spartan decor (the metal dresser was...

Top location, but unfortunately unable to log into internet. Very frustrating from a business view point. Reception was made aware of position.

It was wonderful. ! It was exactly what we needed. The only criticism is that the particular room we were in was distrubed by footsteps passing backwards and forwards. But it was not a big deal ! We would recommend the hotel to friends.

Recently stayed at the Bridge Hotel and the staff was wonderful. Originally we were in room #16, which was not great as it is basically a box with no light. There are no windows other than a skylight which only opens a small amount. Plus it closes automatically when it rains. But we were transferred to room #224 which was...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
