Nice and clean rooms and shower. The downside -20-25 mins walk from the dam square The rooms are a beat small, but prices are fair Nice and helpful staff Will probably be back (Avrage age is from 20- 30)

If you are looking for a nice clean hostel this is the place. The toilets were spotless, loved the launge where you could sit and enjoy the view through the massive window. The staff was always nice and helpful

Good location close to lots of restaurants and public transport. Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm and it was one of the tiniest dorms I've stayed in. Would get out of bed to trip over other guests' items as they had nowhere to store luggages..room had shower and sink but no toilet.. ( would prefer to have toilet than...

I just check out of this hostel and besides been expensive for what it is, small space, unconffortable noisy beds, what made it worst was that even if i text them 1 month before i got here due to some changes i had to do in my trip they didnt let me cancel one night, and because i lost my...

The rooms are clean, beds are confortable, showers are nice and new. The stair are really steep but keep in mind it is a hostel. The location is amazing, many coffee shops, groceries and restaurants nearby. There is also a tram station two minutes from there. I recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a cheap and clean place well...

Hi, there was plus and minus' to the trip. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Staff we helpful and accommodating. However we were not pre warned about paying an extra 5% for use of debit card or we would of avoided this! This made the trip a lot more expensive than necessary for a hostel. It also...

This hostel charges a 5% additional fee for paying by card, not mentioned before arrival. For me this came to over 70 euros. Rooms much smaller than they appear and very hot with no air con. But good customer service.

My son accidently made a non refundable booking for this hostel for him and his friends. He used my booking account without my permission and made 4 bookings in Amsterdam for the same nights. As soon as i realised what happened i informed bookings.com and the hostel, neither would budge and charged me 100%. Seems no one listened or wanted...

Positives- great location. Good price. Rooms are fine- clean. Good sized locker and can hire padlocks. Quite clean. Negatives- staff aren't very welcoming or enthusiastic to help. The only communal room is a room where everyone sits and smokes weed; great if that's what you're looking for, otherwise not so great! Wifi keeps coming and going, but is in the...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
