Coolest hotel in holland. From awesome restaurants to, cool bar, super art collections and uber trendy architecture, this is the place to be. Last weekend it hosted Dutch Vogues 5th bday party and had everyone from Lara Stone, Doutzen, & Mario Testino staying there. That should say enough. There is also high end shopping available within, in the form of...

This is one of my favorite hotels in the world. Starting with the hotel itself: service is super friendly, attentive and fast - helping you where they can in a nice manner, not too stiff, but professional. They organized tickets for the Van Gogh museum for me, very last minute, without any hassle, for example. The rooms are beautiful, modern,...

We were staying at the Conservatorium for 2 nights and from check in to check out the service was very efficient and professional. The room was good, although the air conditioning was faulty on the first night, but fixed quickly once reported the next day. We ate in Taiko which was very good, the lounge had great cakes and our...

I have stayed in many 5/6 star hotels around the world, and the Conservatorium is definitely one of the finest that I have stayed in. I do not want to repeat what other posters have said, but it is a magnificent unique property and staffed by individuals who are genuinely happy to be working there and will do all that...

When you go to the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, you feel immediately welcome by the warm welcome from really nice doormen Raphael. With a wonderful smile he will show you around, help you out, has good advice or tips around. The hotel is stunning with the most comfortable, nice designed rooms. Excellent breakfast & gin tonics.

Exceptional hotel. Have stayed in many nice hotels but this one is right up there with the very best. From check in to check out, everything was faultless, friendly staff, amazing room and room service, great bar décor, superb spa. Can't find anything wrong with this hotel

Unique and quirky hotel, well worth a visit. Beautiful rooms, excellent customer service. Total enjoyment. Unique design, if we had to be critical then the ensuite tap needs to be shortened as splashed on clothes when used, interior bathroom doors are heavy and lack of sound on the Televisions.

The hotel is slightly further than we expected from Centraal Station. Would advise anyone thinking of walking with luggage to get the 2 or 5 tram from the station to van Baerlestraat where the stop is directly outside the hotel. Checkin was swift and we were offered a refreshing drink on arrival while being checked in. We were shown to...

VIP Pickup from Hotel in nicely equipped S-Classs with a very friendly driver. Announced in the hotel. Whole Hotel very impressive from architecture and style. We booked the duplex suite for two nights (don't upgrade complimetary to premium suites). The duplex suite is not big, but the windows, for sure 6m high, with electric curtains were super special. I've stayed in many 5* hotels but this is definitely one of my favourites! Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
