For the price we paid it was a little bad. It was too expensive. No elevator, do people with low mobility cannot go to this hotel. You have a coffee shop right downstairs and amazing kebab snack bar. The location is good. They only give you 1 towel per person but if you ask for more, no problem. The internet...

It may have been very small and the decor was very tired, but the location was great the staff were great especially super Mario who always had a smile. Staff were very welcoming. If your looking for luxury this is not the place for you. However if you want to have a great time with somewhere cheap to get your...

Stayed in this hotel for 3 days, during the Easter, and overall found it a comfortable and friendly environment. From what I gather, there is the option to share a room and bathroom with other guests, however my family and I chose to get our own separate room. It was clean, relatively cosy and had all the essentials (even a...

My cousin had booked this hotel because off the location. Upon arrival after googling this hotel I were happy with the location because I knew the area. However I were appalled at the hotel itself. The reception area is less desiring old deco and chairs that need to be thrown away. Stairs are tapped down to obviously cover the wear...

I stayed in the Hotel Continental 2 weeks ago. I had booked a 3 night stay but due to a delayed flight arrived 1 day late. Staff were very decent and gave us back the money for the first night that we couldn't stay despite stating on booking.com that there was no refunds available. We were put on the top...

Because this is a 2star hotel you can't expect a lot, but it's clean, warm, internet is working (even on 4th floor), and stuff is really kind and friendly. I would say that the biggest plus of this hotel is location. Once when you come from central station (2min walk from hotel) you don't need to think about transportation any...

Stayed with my cousin for 5 days. At first we were put on top floor, very very narrow stairs 4 flights up, room was very small & basic but fine for us to crash, only thing was stairs as I suffered a brain injury & not very good on my feet. Felt like we were in Anne Franks bedroom we...

Too dirty hotel, really disgusting. The room was extremely small and ugly, but that really wasnt our problem at all. The toilet seemed so dirty like nobody ever cleaned it really. The bathroom tiles had brown dirty spots on them and between them and they were sticky with slipe. Also when we first enter our bathroom i found a half empty beer...

Booked a quadruple room with a private bathroom for 3 nights from 04/12/16 - room is too small to fit all 4 of us (wife & 2 children). I have no problem with a bunk bed but it has no stair to climb to the upper bed (problem for my young kid). Wardrobe’s door was broken, unable to close it...

Booked a room here with my friend for 2 nights before we headed to Luxembourg and then Bruges. The hotel was so awful that we checked into the Ibis across the road instead. They don't offer refunds under any circumstances so they've got you over a barrel unless you are prepared to stay in a prison cell. They should not...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
