This hotel is situated beside Vondelpark. Either through the park (fastest) or via side streets, the museums and Leidseplein are within a 5 to 10 min walk making the location very convenient. Our room had a king size bed (full king - not two twins pushed together) which was really comfortable. There were a couple of chairs and floor to ceiling window on one wall. The bathroom was adequate with a strong shower and no shortage of hot water. The room was clean and was refreshed daily. There are croissants, pastries and apples with coffee available in the morning. This review would have been a 5 star but for two things: There are no amenities offered (shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, etc) and the hair dryer didn't operate properly (it overheated and automatically shut down after 30 seconds, and required at least 5 minutes to reset). I would recommend the hotel and would stay here again (bring all your own toiletries and your own hairdryer).

You won’t be disappointed staying at the Park View! Highly recommend!
Staff were friendly and helpful
Great location, quiet area.
Good sized room, comfortable bed with en suite. Spotlessly clean.
Coffee , tea available until midnight also croissants, doughnuts which we preferred to having coffee etc in the bedroom.
Many Thanks! We will be back.

Firstly, the location of this small hotel is brilliant. It is 5 minutes walk from Museumplein and about 200 metres from one of the entrances to Vondel Park. The No. 2 tram line (stop Cornelis Schuytstraat) is also a short walk away.
The Reception staff are very friendly and could not be more welcoming or helpful. There is no "breakfast" as such, but machine coffee, juice, fruit and fresh croissants are available in the downstairs area and are free to guests.
The rooms themselves are reasonable and fair for the price paid (Amsterdam is expensive!).
Enjoyable stay!

A hotel located in the most beautiful part of the city that you can trust for cleaning. The hotel staff is helpful and friendly. If you went to stay as a tourist, they treat you like one of the family. So you feel more confident. I'll see you at our next stay.

I stayed in this lovely hotel on the night of 11 September. The counter staff Mr Bikram was extremely helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to have early check in on 11 sept after long overnight flight from Toronto. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was located at a quite corner beside Vondelpark. It is within walking distance to the museum quarter. There were lots of eateries nearby. The bus stop for airport shuttle bus was 5 minutes away. It is really convenient. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Amsterdam next time.

Very good location. Nice room. Excellent free coffee/pastries/fruit and juice breakfast offered. Tea and coffee in room. Room very decent Doesn’t claim to be top ultra luxury hotel, but very good for its level.

If you're travelling on your own avoid this place at all costs as I've never felt so frightened in a hotel on my own before. Infact, even if you are with company, just plain avoid it. The immigrant receptionist here was so angry that I dared complain that my tv was not working on my first night there, that she phoned her boss and fumed right infront of me, as I sat eating their very basic breakfast the next morning. I couldn't understand why she was so mad. When I arrived, via a booking at central station tourist office, I'd specifically asked for a room with a tv in it as I just wanted to relax at night. I got a broken tv. They kept promising they'd fix it. They didn't. The room itself was very overpriced, grubby in decor and not very clean. It was cold inside although it had a heater but it barely worked and I didn't dare complain about that too. I spent a cold, boring first night in that hotel, huddled for warmth in a very slim and lumpy bed, without a tv or even a radio. I had tried to find an alternative hotel but couldn't because of a sell-out gig in town. She even told me to leave the hotel the next day when I said I hoped they'd get the heater fixed along with the tv. I went straight to the tourist office at central station and told them what happened. They did nothing. So watch out...

this hotel was a challenge to discover in the first place but as we were to discover this was the least of our worries.

1) we were greeted by a rather zealous but curt receptionist who was more interest in gettin back to his cat and foot ball match rather than tend to his two new guests.
our room was on the 3rd floor , the staires are so steep that they are almost vertical, and trying to get our luggage to the room was not an easy task!

2) on entry into the room we were greeted by a very cold daught that was to be a permanent problem , as the heating of the room would never work. the television which is only slightly bigger than an ipad and placed close to the ceiling would definately require binoclulars to see, and i dont think that even that would help as the few channels that they did have all had bad reception!

3) but the best is yet to come, my friend and i thought that we were the only ones in our room.... but as the evening approached we had rats running around though out the room and bathrom the whole night! we were terrified and tried calling the emergency number for the reception several times but clearly the number was a joke!

i would never ever reccomend this place to anyone! its a nightmare from the time you enter.

A very nice small hotel on a very quite street a minutes walk from Vondelpark. Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum is less than 10 minutes walk away. The hotel was very clean but more importantly very quite. Although my room (002) was small it suited my needs. The bathroom was a nice size. The variety at breakfast was a little basic although enough. Will definitely consider staying again.

definitely a memorable stay.
took us 2 hours to find this "hotel". and another hour to climb the stairs (no elevator).
the room was tiny. it was freezing. the heating wasn't working. thankfully we hadn't come to amsterdam to spend time in the hotel.
so we went out for some outdoor activites. which made us hungry. so we went to a supermarket and ate some food in the hotel (despite the paper on the door which says: NO FOOD). bad idea. VERY bad idea. now we know why you are not supposed to eat in the room. trust me, it's for your own good. unless u like the company of rats at night.
actually, the worst thing is that u don't actually see them, u only hear them, but they are very loud.
so if you really have no other choice than to stay in this "hotel", then be prepared for the worst. and no, i am not exaggerating. good luck.
