We stayed in the deluxe room which doesn't seem to have a picture in the photos on tripadvisor . The room was nice enough, spacious enough, clean bathroom (always a plus). The hotel is about 7 mins on the Tram (around the corner from hotel) to the central dam square. Location was nice, beside the park, cafes, supermarket. The room...

It was all a city break should be, just a little further out than made out on the website. Still close enough to enjoy. Very clean didn't opt for the breakfast but shops and breakfast available a walk away.

I travel all over the world and mostly in Europe and I have never stayed in such a small room for the price I paid. I paid 480 Euro for 3 nights and I could touch the walls when I raised my arms. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked if there where rooms with better mattresses and...

Although room was quite small, including tiny bathroom, I found it was functional. Quiet place, not too far from the city center. Room was clean and tidy as well as quiet. Friendly staff. Good for the price comparing to other offers.

Where do I start with this one? On arriving, first impressions aren't good. Reception is dark & un-welcoming. The general look of the hotel is rundown & gives the appearance that most of the decor etc. has been done by a D.I.Y enthusiast. The wallpaper is like a jigsaw in places & peeling off. Tiling in bathroom is poor -...

This hotel is very close to the Heineken factory. Within 10 minutes via tram you are in the center of Amsterdam. The rooms are clean and the service excellent. Very close you have a supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops. If you want a cheap hotel in Amsterdam this is one.

I arrived late at night, was tired and just wanted some comfort. Checking in was fairly fast but also highly desinterested. The room did not have windows and had a general rundown feeling. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and the carpet was eaten away underneath the heaters. The wifi was non-existent, the TV remote on the blink. Hot water...

We stayed here for 4 nights. They moved us to a different room because of TV reception! (Yes, we watched the US Open while giving our feet a break from walking the neighborhood and looking in museums!) They really took care of us -- even when we had a request about the 2nd room, they were really nice. The rooms...

We had a room for 4. The hotel offers a basic service - a bed to sleep and a bathroom to wash! Its decor was a bit tired but all in all it was clean. We stayed 2 nights and when we returned to our room the second evening it had been cleaned top to bottom. It is only about...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
