I visited Amsterdam on 8-10/4 and stays in this hotel. It's small nice hotel really close on foot to many important places. And just a 2' walk from Waterloo station. Clean and renovated rooms, a bit narrow though. Lovely reception and a wonderful breakfast room. Really polite people!

I had one of the worst experiences at this hotel ever. Myself and my partner checked in on my birthday and had a nap, only to find that there were two insects crawling on our beds. We didn't think much of it at the time and went out to explore. We came back to the room at about 24:00, as...

The location of the hotel is great, on a not very busy street right on a canal and close to main sites in Amsterdam. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were there for only one night and the small bedrooms did not present a problem for this short stay. For a longer stay we would have had problems with insufficient...

A month on from our visit there and thoughts of this hotel bring back a number of emotions; most of them bad. We had originally booked two rooms as we were travelling with another couple, however on arrival we were given the option of all sharing a suite a few doors away. Having taking a quick look at one of...

I thought this hotel, for the price, was what I would expect in DT Amsterdam. Wonderfully central location, beautiful breakfast and breakfast room, very helpful front desk and gracious hostess. Yes, small rooms, but this is Europe, downtown, on a canal! A sensible place. I found it quite charming and a respite from the madness of a Saturday night in...

My sister-in-law and I were traveling back to Hamburg, Germany and decided to have a couple of days in Amsterdam. We couldn't get two nights in this hotel so we moved for the second night ( I'll review that hotel later). It was the start of the main season and we were traveling with my Westie which complicates things a...

This hotel has stunning views of the canal and we were there in April and spring was evident everywhere. The rooms are pretty but need refurbishment. The bathroom is tiny but the shower is fine though nowhere to put anything. Bed was comfortable but the room was desperately in need of a coat or two of paint. There was coffee...

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend and had an amazing time. The staff were all so friendly and even found me an adapter for my plug as I had forgot mine. The breakfast was good and room very clean. We even found some good channels on the tv one night! Lovely hotel and we would definitely return.

This is a gem of a small hotel right in the middle of town, within easy walking distance to all highlights. It is right on the shore of the Amstel river and the ambience is very cosy and homy.Rooms are small but adequate and nicely furnished. The staff is extremely helpful. Got printouts of our boarding passes and were allowed...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
