We recently stayed at City Hotel. Our room was Clean, Modern, and Comfortable. The in house bar was cheaper than many of the local bars with a good selection. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were very helpful especially Eduard. Location was a short walk from Central Station and all near by attractions.

Nice wee hotel very central parking close by at 13 euros for 24 hours. Booked a triple room which was split over 2 floors giving plenty of space. Great choice for breakfast and a 1200 checkout time would definitely use again

good trip, easy to find hotel. Close to all local amenities. Breakfast was included but wasn't the best, all you really want is a full English on holiday only had crossiants to offer. Staff were friendly, some didn't have good English which was hard to ask questions

I booked a twin room with my friend through booking.com and requested by email that it not be in the basement, having read here that the basement rooms can be noisy. We were given room A02 on the first floor and it was great. It faced the back so had two big windows but no noise problems. The room was...

Stayed in the City Hotel for a total of 3 nights over the course of a weekend. Upon arriving the staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. Check in was swift. Rooms are not that big but that is the norm for Amsterdam. The shower in the room was amazing. Ideally located in the city for getting anywhere but is...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was clean. It was quite small but it was cosy. Bathroom was a wet room so you ended up with water everywhere so could have been dangerous if you slipped. Breakfast was included in our stay but was very basic. Could only get toast, cereal, some ham and cheese and croissants. WiFi was free....

Great hotel in a central location. Only a few minutes walk from central station. We stayed in the quadruple room which had plenty of space. The beds were comfy and we had a nice view of the canal. Breakfast was included in the rate but we never went down for it. Highly recommend this hotel. My only issue was you...

The hotel is around a 7 minute walk from the centraal station, it took us about half an hour only due to us not being able to read google maps! The hotel is small but very quirky, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the bathrooms a decent size I called a few days before and arranged a bottle of wine...

Lovely and spacious rooms and nice service from the Exellent staff. Good breakfast,(your average continental breakfast), lovely rooms though, however the staircase can be quite confusing trying to navigate down, when we just arrived i went down to reception to ask for wifi and I almost got lost on my way back up! Yeah but a prime location only about...

Stayed in this lovely hotel on the 6th January until the 9th, it's around a 6 minute walk from the central train station which we thought was perfect. The hotel itself is small but very clean and modern. The rooms were of a decent size and the showers were so good you didn't want to get out again. Breakfast nothing...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
