I'm reposting this here because I think that the person who manages their google review should be more HOSPITABLE and to let people know what kind of staff this hotel is proud of. House keeping did not clean the last day… and the reception said it was because the house keeping said that the room was on do not disturb but when we arrived it literally says it’s for clean up. 1. Reception is saying that we’re the one who put it on the do not disturb which we told them that if they checked their cameras it would show that it was for clean up. 2. Very inconvenient and they keep pushing that it was on do not disturb. 3. THE RECEPTION CAME UP AND WE ASKED FOR AT MINIMUM AN APOLOGY AND HE LITERALLY SAID “why should i apologize if im not the housekeeping” All I can say… people shouldn’t be doing hotel business if they do not have hospitality. I’ve seen that the hotel replied to this review.. Our room is on do not disturb since we arrived at the hotel at 10pm and we were planning to sleep. As we informed the reception. Even in the reply there was no apology and they insisted that we are lying. We asked the hotel to check their cctv as for the whole day the room was on CLEAN UP. And they do not want to. Instead, they call us liars. What could possibly happened was the house keeping checked the floor before 2pm and as we were still in the room and have left at 2pm, they didn’t bother to return and clean the room. WHICH COULDVE BEEN SOLVED BY A SIMPLE APOLOGY FROM THE RECEPTION AS PER THEIR HOUSEKEEPING. Instead, the staff was rude and the reply to this review is unbelievable. Can you imagine your hotel forgetting to clean your room and WOULD REFUSE TO SEND YOU CLEAN TOWELS when they ask you to throw the towels on the floor to make sure the housekeeping cleans them? In fact the reception was the one who started the conversation as he knocked and gave the things and started the conversation with: “next time do not put your do not disturb button on” WHEN WE REPEATEDLY INFORMED THEM THAT THEY CAN CHECK ALL EVIDENCES that our room was for cleaning instead they do not accept their mistake and was RUDE!!!!!!!!! Extremely rude in fact. The conversation ended with us asking for an apology and the receptionist said “why should i apologize if i’m not housekeeping?” and i told him it’s part of hospitality and he said no so i told him this conversation is useless. BECAUSE IT IS USELESS TALKING TO SOMEONE THAT IS UNREASONABLY UNBELIEVABLE. I don’t understand why people who work in this hotel are like this. It’s a shame. I can’t believe there’s actually hotels like this.…
Awesome- cannot recommend enough. So easy with the tram stop outside, staff were incredible! Especially Alex who was so friendly and went way above and beyond what was expected. Rooms were insane, huge beds, so comfy, bathroom was great. Doesn’t look nice from the outside but the inside was lovely. Breakfast was yummy, lots of choice. Top tip is to take the discount cards found in reception, they were really helpful for me.
Great hotel quiet location tram stop right outside very great happy friendly staff especially mimuna she was a great help from checking out to helping with bags can't fault them clean rooms and comfy beds
I recently stayed at this hotel at had a pleasant time during my visit. However, I accidentally left my GHD straightener in my room when I checked out. I contacted the hotel when I got home. I was told housekeeping did not find any straightener in the room. I questioned how this was possible as I definitely left it in the room. I was told that “it is possible the housekeeping threw it in the bin by mistake” It was an error on my behalf to leave the item behind. However, I’m sure this is a regular occurrence in hotels. I am in disbelief that an item worth €170 was put in the bin as it was thought to be rubbish. Terrible customer service. I won’t be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.
Highly Recommended! Clean, warm, with cosy lounges. Hot water in the bathroom, espresso machine in the room with free capsules for every day. Free use of public computers and places to use your own computer. Outside of the hotel, there is the tram 19 station. Near is a supermarket.
Great hotel if you're coming from the UK Schipol airport two stops by rail to the 19 tram terminus, one stop on the tram to the hotel door. The integrated public transport system really works in Amsterdam. 15 mins into the heart of the city. The rooms are great with a bath and shower, coffee tea maker, UK power and USB power in the room. Breakfast everything on offer. A really good place to stay and competitively priced.
Loved this hotel the rooms were big, spacious & cleaned every day and it was only a couple of tram rides from the main city and the tram stop is right behind the hotel. Only problem was they didn’t give enough coffee pods & milk being a coffee lover lol, but there was a Lidl just round the corner! The hotel staff were really friendly and it was a very quiet hotel. Definitely would stay again if I was to visit Amsterdam again in the future. Thank you!
Does what it says in the tin. Small room with little light but at least it’s somewhere to go after you’ve spent the day in the city. Right next to the station and trains into the centre run every few minutes. Our sleep was disturbed on the first night by someone keep trying our door which was concerning and half of the lockers for storing bags are broken so multiple trips to reception to sort that out. Other than that it was good for what it is, wouldn’t recommend for any longer than 2 nights.
We arrived at the hotel at 9am and were told we could not check in till 3pm. We booked through love holidays and there was nothing stating that we would have to wait till 3pm to check in. Not ideal when you’ve been travelling and want to go to the room unpack and have a shower. The pillows on the bed aren’t full sized pillows they are literally half a pillow with a full sized pillow case wrapped around it which is really uncomfy? I’ve never stayed anywhere with half a pillow so be prepared for a crap sleep and a stiff neck 😂 There was no option to buy food on site in the restaurant or drink at the bar as they were closed so the only option really is the vending machines. Every day a different one was out of order and unable to use. They have a “free” luggage room you can keep your belongings in for when you arrive with no room to check in to and they stated it was safe/ secure and they gave us a ticket to get our luggage back. When we came back to finally check in and get our luggage we weren’t asked for our tickets and the staff just let us into the room by ourselves so we could have realistically took anyone’s luggage and anyone could have taken ours! Check out time is 11am. So if you wanted to come to amsterdam for a short break and was hoping to have two days/ one night - realistically you wouldn’t be able to check in this hotel till 3pm and you would have to be out by 11am the next day. You wouldn’t even have a room for 24 hours in the hotel without paying extra. Quite disappointing that we paid a fair amount of money to stay here and was in amsterdam for 6 hours before being able to check in, and then had to check out at 11am when we weren’t getting a transfer back to the airport until 7pm. So all in all, 14 hours of our holiday we were without a hotel room. Loveholidays customer service couldn’t help us and the hotel said we could have late check out for 10 euros an hour. Shame you are not told this before you book! Would not stay here again…
Hotel itself was great! Staff were friendly and helpful! Great location which is a 5 minute walk from Lidl and even better that there is a tram stop right outside the hotel! Only negatives were that the shower drain was terrible and would fill the bottom of shower tray very quick and took a while to drain away and had to pile up a couple of towels outside as it started leasing. Would recommend to take your own hairdryer as well even though there is a hairdryer in the room it’s not powerful at all🥲 And could be done with 2 pillows on each bed! But overall an enjoyable stay!
